Absolutely stunning sound design (username checks out). The dialogue and writing was a lot of fun and just overall quite unique gameplay.

Good stuff!

This is one of my favourites so far in this jam! The visuals were really nice and although it took a few tries once I finally got the hang of the radio tower bit it was really satisfying.

However I did run out of fuel and die :D

This was quite unique! I really liked the bug collecting and then the cooking

It didn't quite work for me fullscreen - though I have an ultrawide monitor (the bane of every game dev's existence - even my own) As such I had a hard time reading some of the UI text (like on the radio.)

However I was having quite a lot of fun exploring! It felt though a bit unbalanced at times. I beat an armored mercenary and got 9 caps and then beat a bug and got 13 caps :D

The character creation screen was also (:chefs-kiss:) fantastic!

I like a good top-down explore-'em-up :D I would have liked feedback when I ate food / picked up something. My food replenished at some point and I wasn't sure if I had eaten something or not :P

Really liked this - why simply read a poem or a short story when you can experience it like this. Beautiful.

The crunchy pixels and the whole vibe was immaculate! It was super cool how going outside introduced that ambient sound so seamlessly. Also really liked the day/night cycle.

Though I couldn't pick up any items in that barn/shed thing :( I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not.

I really liked the atmosphere of the outside world - would have been really nice with some ambient sounds and music :)

Oh interesting! Yeah it's x,y order. I think there could be some issues with screen size affecting the accuracy of the detection logic but of course I didn't really have time to test it :D

Some of the later stages get a bit deliberately tricky giving out the coordinates to throw the player off but I hope they are still understandable.

Thanks for playing!

It's like a quirky dive bar in the water level of a video game :)

Neat! It didn't give me too much of an impression of "sea" but perhaps a ship battle? I felt the drum mix was a bit off and didn't really cut through too well

Overall quite nice! The orchestration was lovely

This was beautiful! That intro was really nice in its ambience and subtlety and the way it flowed (pun intended?) into that percussive melodic ballad-like section was fantastic. (my only criticism is that the horns could have been a little bit quieter - but I'm really nitpicking here)

My immediate thought was a water level in an N64 / PS1 game :) Great stuff

This put such a smile on my face. Good stuff! I thought the pacing was perfect as well

A kind of low-stress, low stakes chill game with a horror theme. Interesting stuff. I liked the music :)

I really got some Papers Please vibes here. This was kinda cool. I appreciated that I could change the colours of the screen - it was a nice touch.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! This is some good feedback, so I appreciate it :)

Let's just say as well, more complexity incoming!

Thanks for playing! Yeah the lack of signposting / tutorial is definitely something I will focus on (with this and other jams going forward) so thanks for the feedback!

I have already been extending this idea so stay tuned!

Thanks for playing! This is some good feedback - I think I should perhaps give more audio clues as to where objects are or make some of the clues a bit more obvious, especially when the whole game "goes dark"

Fixed the soft lock issue now :) Thanks for playing!

Great to hear! I expected some weird stuff to happen tbh, especially as its just been me testing it and I know exactly the "golden path"

This is super cool! Seconding what someone said below, I found the UI a little unresponsive at times when selecting the buildings

Glad you liked it! I have been thinking about it yeah, was thinking I would see how it plays on mobile with touch controls :)

I personally really loved the writing! Good stuff. As someone already mentioned, the hitbox could have been clearer but other than that this is my favourite submission so far <3

I was able to keep adding stuff and make the cardboard go waaaay into the negative :D also not sure if it was intentional to be able to stack buildings on top of one another

It didn't load for me past the title screen :( (Chrome, Windows 11)

Thanks for the feedback! I will also upload the latest windows version.

what exactly doesn't work?

That was quite fun! I felt like the level with the huge gap in the middle was the hardest. I was able to get through the last 2 levels super easily by timing a jump off the clone, and getting launched :D

I think it depends largely on resolution - probably I could have anchored the elements better! Fullscreen it looks correct AFAIK

I'm sorry :( next time I will make sure to test it in the browser with MacOS

Thanks for the feedback - I added some info in the description!
