Hey, I get you, honestly feel the same sometimes. We didn't build in a pre-configured bot, felt like it wouldn't do the game experience justice. But you can plug in different LLMs, including local ones, no token costs there. Just can't vouch for how good the experience will be, local models aren't quite competitive yet in our experience, though that's improving fast.
Yeah, I always felt the same way — that's exactly why I find it appealing when the AI throws unexpected results at me. It still has to stay safe, of course.
I'm currently waiting to hear back from @signal-response, before I take the tool public anywhere. But I'd be glad if people were interested in it.
In the meantime, though — if that sort of thing appeals to you, feel free to stop by my page. I've already released a nice little AI-driven roleplay game that goes in exactly that direction.
Hey! I'm a big fan of Cognitive Performance and got curious about your pack.json format. Ended up building a small fan tool: a web app that generates custom item packs via AI, compatible with your existing pack format. Everyone can tailor it to their own taste — intention, themes, even image context — including your own languages, not just English. Runs entirely in the browser, no servers, no access to anything of yours. Happy to show you more if you're interested — just let me know wherever's easiest for you (email/Discord/here)
