Pensando si ejecuto o no el juego...

First of all, congratulations on the dedication and support that has been given to this wonderful project.

I just started playing this version (I had played the first version before, but never completed it), and I was amazed to see that you can perform the dash by pressing the D-pad twice! Honestly, it turned out great!

However, I have a few observations. I haven't had enough time to really dig into the game yet, but I think these are worth reviewing:

  1. Transitions between areas / boss battles: When you go through a door to move from one area to another, and/or when entering a boss battle, there is a noticeable slowdown. It feels uncomfortable visually, almost as if there were a kind of "time stopper" effect. It doesn't seem to fit the game very well, at least in my opinion.
  2. Falling into the void: When you fall into the void, there is a pause before the character explodes. It reminded me a bit of Mega Man 1. 馃槃
  3. The .exe file: I would strongly recommend adding a digital signature to the executable. On Windows 11, it practically forces users to disable Windows security features such as SmartScreen/App protection, which may prevent the game from launching. I mention this as someone who works in Cybersecurity: having a properly signed executable would make the game much more trustworthy and easier to run.
  4. Movement / screen shaking: At certain moments, when walking around, it feels as if the screen is slightly "shaking" — almost like Mega Man X. I'm not sure whether this is an intentional effect, a bug, or something related to the graphics card. I'm going to test it on another machine now to see if it might be related to drivers.

For now, these are the things I've noticed, along with what other fans have been mentioning. Hopefully some of these issues can be addressed in a future version.

Oh! I also saw a post on X from @infidelity_nes offering his support to help with game programming. He's EXCELLENT when it comes to ports, so who knows — it could be a great opportunity and an extra boost for the project.

Other than that, congratulations once again, and keep moving forward!

Greetings from Argentina!
