Thank you!!! Malibu really cooked with the music. I appreciate you taking the time to play!

I really like the concept you have. I had a lot of fun making my gun absurdly powerful to the point that the balls were dying instantly. I think if you added more gun upgrades, different enemies, and maybe a more complex win condition this could really be a full game. Also a hold to fire option, I went all the way until round 30 and now my wrist hurts from spam clicking lol
This was super fun even on my very laggy laptop haha! I enjoyed spamming the slide button to move faster and the slide jump mechanic felt very smooth. I do wish the enemies bullets didn't block your own. I felt turned away from trying to fight them cause it was frustrating shooting a shot and having it be blocked. I think it would be much more run and gun that way. Overall great work team! Would love to see this become a full release!
I love the art style, espcially the goofy running of the character and how he moves his hands around while doing tasks. I think the days are a bit long with not enough variety in your tasks (especially cause I got told to organize the filing cabinet and called a minion 4 times in a row). Overall great work! I definitely felt some urgency to complete my tasks and I love the little tidbits of dialogue!
Thank you!!! We fell in love with the idea of doing unlucky things to make you lose your money and ran with it. We had big dreams of making each game different with minigames and choosing bet sizes and such but unfortunately Goose (the main programmer and only one with a CS degree) has a full time job and couldn't put in as much time as we hoped. I'm so glad you liked it! I had a ton of fun making it.
Thank you so much! This was our first game jam and it was a ton of fun. I wrote the cutscenes and my brother Malibu made the character sprites. I also wanted text boxes to change with player input but we were scrambling to fix the major issues and unfortunately that got swept under the rug. I'm glad you liked the narrative! That was my favorite part to make.
Yeah we wanted it to be faster too. Unfortunately we used the same dialogue script for both the casino game dialogue and the cutscenes so making it faster would mess up the cutscenes. With less than an hour left in the jam when we figured it out we decided there were more important things to fix lol.
This is a fun speed platformer. I like the design of the first few levels and how you teach the player about the arrows through trial and error rather than just saying it. For game jam purposes having no checkpoints was a bit frustrating because I didn't want to play through each level again but memorizing the whole course is a fun challenge for an actual game. Also it took me too long to realize that you could sprint so a quick movement tutorial/UI would be helpful. Overall excellent work for your first jam! I really liked it!
The game is very pretty looking and I'm sure is fun to play if you know how. I couldn't really understand the goal or the mechanics and the tutorial seemed like a lot of reading that I wasn't too keen on doing, especially for a game where you're on a time crunch. For game jam purposes your best option is to make simple gameplay mechanics and teach the player through making them play rather than a written tutorial. The overall look, feel, and sound of the game is really good, I just couldn't figure out how to play.
