Hey, thanks for the feedback! Honestly, I think I somehow made pawns the most overpowered and broken part of chess with this haha!

You raise a good point about having some visual effect to show when a piece is too expensive/high ranking to move. I think a combination of your suggestion where expensive pieces are faded out, as well as maybe some indication of how many points a move will cost could work well to communicate this. Should make things a bit less awkward.

I think once the voting period is over, I'll likely create a more complete version of this game with all feedback taken on board.

Thanks again for playing! :)

Game Jams are always a great opportunity to learn and test your skills. Unity is a good one to learn from because of how many tutorials there are online. Even if your submission isn't the best, what matters is that it's your best, and you'll always learn something new for the next jam.

Best of luck, my dude!

Thank you! The feedback is appreciated :) I think you have a good point, should've made it more clear that it's a two player title, at least as it stands. Perhaps I'll come back to it and add an AI or online play mode - both pretty alien to me right now. Also could've done with more visual- & sound-effects for things like game overs and just generally moving pieces.

But it was fun! First jam I've actually been able to submit for and I'm happy with what I managed to put together :)

Hmm weird one. Not exactly sure why it's not working, but I just uploaded a windows build if you wanted to give it a go :)

Should just run in the browser. Does refreshing the page work at all? What browser/device are you using?
