genuinely such a good game. i wasnt expecting a great story too. i haven't played punch out in a while, and this was a very fun way to reminisce. i like the puzzle aspect to fitting upgrades in, even if it felt a bit inconsequential except for the special moves. very very fun gameplay, and the visuals and sound are packed with personality. my main gripe is the font used, it gives a great vibe and fits the tone of the game and other art used in it, but its a bit hard to read, i couldnt quite figure out what characters were saying sometimes. which was a bummer because the dialogue is great. all around, very fun boxing game!

theres so much game!! i'll come back and play the rest after the jam, but for the sake of doing other things today i only did the tutorial and first level. really fun, feels like an N64 game you've never heard of. i love the multi-mode gameplay, and it fits the theme superbly while staying very creative! joyful game, and i love the puppets in the pitch video.

solid little game, the opening cutscene was a fever dream and i loved that. the gameplay loop itself is simple, whacky, and enjoyable. good work!

joyous game. i loved how the movement felt and the learning curve of getting used to it, by the later levels i was zipping around like spider-man. my only real complaint is that it doesnt tell you what level you're currently on, so if you go to the menu and wanna resume, you have to kinda guess until you get back to the right level. i like the jingle when you beat a level though, well made music. fun puzzle platformer all around, i enjoyed it!

i see, that makes sense and is very cool!

hello niko one shot (tommyware is so peak)

8OX was really cool! i've had my eye on it for a while and didnt really know the premise. glad i saw this and got that final push to play it, i quite enjoyed it!

fantastic! the premise alone is worth 5 stars, each game feels pretty good on its own, and i like the layout of them around the center. my one gripe with this is how laggy it is, some of the games are way harder than i think they are supposed to be because of the lag. i really struggled with the spinning one because of it. this could be a me issue though, idk. other than that its really good! love the art as well

game is super duper radical. i didnt understand i had to bring the cheese back to spawn more at first, but once i figured that out i had a great time. also the pop-ups with controls and stuff go by too quickly, i couldnt really read them. fantastic music though, and the billboarding works great for the main character (whos got a great design too!)

solid little game! the exploration sections near the start were nice and tense. my favourite part was probably the puzzle to turn the power on. i had to put my mind to it to figure it out. funny we both made game about being in a metal box with a depleting oxygen meter, lol. very cool!

guess im playing this now (great game!!)

creative premise, while fitting the theme extremely well! a bit frustrating at points, but thats how puzzle games are. i love the pencil art aesthetic. good work!

really neat game! would like to see more from this in the future, i dont understand why the spear kept flying out of my hands, but it was kinda fun after i got used to it. i liked the combat and upgrades. solid game!

i fear i can't comprehend this

i like the idea, i hope either your team or someone else makes a larger game with this premise. the music was really groovy too, although it felt odd not to loop. good work overall!

(1 edit)

not sure what would cause that on the checkpoints, but the save system definitely gave me the most trouble to make. glad you enjoyed the horror aspects!

EDIT: i figured out the issue! should have it fixed in the updated version ill append to the page after the jam (im allowed to do that, right?)

have fun in   T H E   C O L L E C T I O N   , with a game this good its destined to get in. i wish i had more time to play this game right now, but i really should go to bed. im loving the interactions with the "dungeon master", and some of the game over monologues by him are both kinda depressing and really motivational. i've never played yahtzee, so this was a bit of a learning curve.

neat, but theres not video pitch, and it doesnt fit the theme.

good point and click! i love point and click games, the atmosphere on this one is great. the story is good and i like the ending, and i like the repeated phrases about flies not aging and "warmth" . good tone, a little short, but thats okay for a game jam. if anything it means the amount that was there was good enough i'd like more!

a good time, the music is great. the movement feels really nice and the non-euclidean stuff is implemented really well. im not good enough at boomer shooters to beat it, but its still a good time!

unironically one of the best submissions ive seen so far. felt a lot like the impossible quiz, but even quicker. i love the hand-drawn visuals, im not even sure how you got them to work that way. great game overall!

i love the tutorial, but any time i start a run theres no alleyway or enemies, it just leads out into the void. is there a way to fix this or am i just banned from playing peak?

super duper fun. the best video pitch ive seen too.  i was planning of just playing one run so i could review other games, but i ended up playing like four, very addicting. im gonna download the .zip so i can play this later without needing to remember the tab. great work! (killer premise)

really rad, i didnt understand i had to rename the files until i checked the itch page again and saw it lol. super creative!

Sadly, the version I managed to upload, the one downloadable here, is missing a sizable amount of stuff.  I accidentally disabled a bunch of stuff while trying to fix a bug last minute, sorry! Still, I hope it doesn't detract from the experience too much, and I hope you enjoy it!
