I am down bad for the bad demons. The sprites are so mmmmhmmm~ I also really loved Mr. Muscle's soundtrack- its a bop in its weird, demon-y way.

I'm not too into the superhero stories, but someone did a review of it and it motivated me to try it. This is so not what I expected it to be. I was expecting it to be a bit more...iono, whimsy (its magic people doing hero stuff) and not so dark and grounded, which was actually a pleasant surprise cause it allowed you to focus on the relationships between people without the distractions of their special powers. I finished it feeling very thoughtful about people and their capacity for violence and mercy when given unrestricted power.
I also loved the CGs. They were tastefully placed and gave a sense of gravitas to their scenes, together with the soundtrack. And I also love how the sprites aren't static (the parallax effect) as well as them zooming in and out of perspective depending on who has your attention at the moment.
Very beautifully done visually and narratively. I have to say I'm looking more forward to how the story will play out, but I will say as a dating sim I felt a bit like a third wheel around the dudes (though understandably we're still in the introduction stage). I don't feel too bothered by it because I'm super eager to see how our character fits in to this world and what role they'd play.
This was some very good writing, especially for something I'm completely unfamiliar with (and very curious about) so it was nice to see that its something that could be done like...normally, and not be like an awkward Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde situation I imagined it would be. Especially for someone with such a position and being gracious enough to be both forward in his intentions and voicing his doubts and getting the green light before doing anything. I'd personally see myself too independent to do something like that but hell...you treat me this lovingly, I'll be your little kitty. If you ever continue this (or make games in the similar vein), I would super be looking forward to it just to learn more about relationships like this.
((obligatory off color comment: "...something has awakened inside of me and unfortunately it isn't Sebastian's c**k but now I have a new kink."))
EDIT: I didn't look at your catalogue. Pardon while I go roll around in there
Haha you’re welcome! I watch way too many true crime shows and stuff about criminal psychology and love playing detective piecing together stuff (which made me love DIAG just as much). Caleb surprisingly has turned into my new fav character, just because I like trying to figure him out. The idea of someone like him existing is so terrifying- being so normal (on top of charming) and knowing that he does what he does with the same ease as going to the grocery.
As also a long-time SonArc fan, I’m ecstatic to find others that enjoy the lore in their songs, too! ❤️
I played John’s route a while back but waited to play DIAG to finish the other two. I find it interesting that the LI’s (well, two out of three) returned to the work they did prior, and I was briefly questioning if this was the future or the past. All the protags stories were pretty relatable in a depressing way, making it feel a bit more personal what they went through, though I think a lot of people go through the same situation at some point in their lives.

Not gonna lie, Lucy’s route was the most uncomfy for me as I’m a nurse and have considered forensic pathology as a possible career path for the same reasons (would rather the solitude). So I was pointing at the screen so many times yelling “SHIT THAT COULDA BEEN ME”! It took a while to stop calling Caleb 'Evil Mr. Hanson', considering they’re complete opposites of each other. His characterization was super unnerving with not only how absolutely normal he acts, but how professional he is that there’d absolutely be zero chance of knowing the truth other than happenstance. And the happenstance was purposely planted because he’s narcissistic enough to want to be acknowledged for what he’s done (Jack the Ripper type shit). If you’re interested in exploring this kind of mystery/detective/thriller genre more, I can definitely see Caleb getting involved in more stories.
John’s relationship with Eric is pretty sad considering he doesn’t actually seem to see John but rather as an emotional stand-in for the person he couldn’t get. Ultimately the poor kid just ended up running around in circles unable to deal with his feelings.
I’m sorry, but I laughed so hard at jacked-up Luna and also questioned my sexuality at the same time. XD Completely missed the fact she was from DIAG cause no one else looks like her now!
P.S: One of my favorite bands, Sonata Arctica, has a series of songs across their discography revolving around a stalker named Caleb that I couldn't help but connect this Caleb to. The latest one, Dark Empath, seems to fit him a lot.
I did a small review on Tumblr (here), but essentially called the game ‘abduction ASMR’ lol. Between the voice acting and the sound design, it was really immersive to just be able to focus on the story and music and make wild guesses on what was going on (ranging from “we're probably like dueling supernatural beings” to “he's a…parasite in my head?” to “oh shit what if -I’M- the brainworm?!?” which was I guess kinda close to what you mentioned in the rambling extras lol).
And this post was how I knew it was on Spotify! I’ve been listening to it there mostly, but there weren’t lyrics offered for the songs. I see them definitely there in the YouTube versions, though! And that’s cool! I love music as much as other artistic media (art and writing), and am always fascinated at the process of creating stuff. I always assumed people sung their own works but using voice samples make sense too, LOL! Thanks so much for replying!
Hello! Wanted to say I really enjoyed your game! I keep coming back to it just for the tasty jams! Was just wondering if you had lyrics to some of the songs (Like D&D- Hide and Seek version)? I know they're kinda just small snippets, but was curious since I'm a bit hearing impaired and don't really catch most of the words.
This was a beautiful game. Really makes you think about how people act when in possession of an immense, unstoppable power. It was very well-written- Double makes me physically ill, and Ray's story felt really heavy when dealing with his struggle for humanity, and I love Hal and Miles for adding back the touch of reality between dealing with alien attack and super-powered admirers.
Ooh, I also wanted to add I adored all the non-romantic interactions between characters that really brought out the quirks in their personalities, especially outside of their routes! My absolute favorite scene is Markus making his point with Edgar about stretching, really showing off how he can be as much of a goof as the rest of them (somehow I thought he was too depressed to be open, at least that's how I thought of him from doing his route). And Mr. Hanson absolutely earning his respect when it mattered (you do NOT push grandpa from perpetually annoyed to FUCKING PISSED).
And Edgar's chat emojis! ❤️
This is the first ‘large’ visual novel I’ve played, so this was pretty new to me to spend an entire day to play all the routes. It was a bit hard to get into due to my short attention span (it happens starting most games don’t worry), but when I started really getting into it, it sure as hell wouldn’t let me go. It took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, exploring everyone’s stories and making the relationships a hell of a lot more personal (and making me hate a certain someone with a uniquely potent fury).
I was kinda disappointed with the +17 warning cause after doing the common route and one of the boy’s routes (according to what the guide recommended), I thought the story would be really really vanilla BUT YOU GUYS SURE SHOWED ME. Everything after that just seemed to ramp up to 11 in intensity and I was saying “WTF” the more I completed. Was completely not disappointed and I’m still not over it, so I’m playing it again! I’m pretty fortunate to come across it during this anniversary period, so thank you for that and providing this wonderful experience.
P.S: MY SECRET FANTASY OF TRYSTS WITH THE PROFESSOR IN HOMEROOM ON BLAST IM SO EMBARASSED;;;
Ma’am, I’ll be frank. I’m just a gremlin floating on the internet searching for something that would not only occupy my mind, but inspire me in some way to feel actual human emotion. I come across this game and just went, “oooh, dilf dating sim yay” and download it.
Ma’am, I’m emotionally compromised right now.
I might be slightly jaded from the few dating sims I’ve played, which has so far been high school/collage age people that still feel too young and inexperienced for me to feel immersion. Or maybe- and this is after reading everyone’s reviews- that I’m demi-sexual myself and my view of relationships always seems so different from everyone else’s that it feels so unrelatable. Which kind of makes playing this hit really, really hard emotionally, especially with talking to Ramon and hearing he feels the same way. But your writing of the MC was also so natural and uncomfortably personal in a way that can be felt rather than stated and perfectly describes the kind of doubts I’d experience, not just an immediate arresting feeling but a gradually growing cacophony that builds on itself once you let one voice start talking.
The relationship didn’t feel like God taking two people and slamming them together, going ‘now kith’, but was a realistic progressive building of interest and trust and- SIR, YOU CAN’T JUST WHIP THAT OUT PLEASE. I had to stop playing. A lot. Also a lot of internal screaming. And external screaming, too (into a pillow)!
Voice acting was very, very TOO good. 12/10 would bang.
Thank you for your passion and talent. I'm gonna take a shower now.
