After playing for a bit more it looks like my issue was definitely not using Save & Quit. I didn't realize autosave hadn't yet been implemented. I had encountered a game freeze (tried to use the Time Freeze store gadget to get around Nabooti electric fence bug) and so had to close via the "Abort" popup which doesn't allow saving. Recently I've just been using Save & Quit from the menu to make a save every few minutes and that has worked so far.

Wanted to start off by saying incredible work. It's so nice to finally see Poptropica getting some love like this.
Now on to the actual issue. There was no section for account issues in the in-game bug report so I'm posting this here, but my progress doesn't appear to be saving at all. I played through Early Poptropica and most of Nabooti (before encountering a bug there that barred progression. Reported that using the in-game feature) and then logged off for the night. When I went to rejoin as Returning Player today, all of my progress had been completely wiped and I was back at the very start of early Poptropica
