Hi OtomeLover,

The ´secret ending´ is the extra ending on Adam's route, which you need to have selected a certain choice in the earlier dialogue with him in order to unlock. I assume since you have all the other CGs that you've already found that one ;)

You've definitely 100%ed the game. And again I'm so glad to hear how much you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing :)

Hi OtomeLover!

Thank you so much for your review, I really appreciate it. Yes, I love adding depth to characters beyond what they appear to be, I'm glad you stuck with Seth long enough to understand why he tries so hard to keep you away! :) it's so nice that you enjoyed playing through each of the routes (and yes,  Billy's definitely very fit! Haha!)

I'm ashamed to admit that the 'last' CG is actually a complete red herring left over from when I (stupidly) forgot to take out the placeholder from my initial release. It's literally just the 'grey' background image which the code ties into the other locked images, which I forgot to remove after finishing the gallery. First-timer and all that >.< apologies for what must be a total letdown! (congrats on 100%ing the game though!!)

Thanks for taking the time to write me though, and I hope you have a very pleasant weekend!!

Hi Lucky,

Thank you so much for your kind feedback! I'm really pleased to hear you enjoyed the game :) and it means a lot that you took the time to post a review. I appreciate it!

Have a wonderful day!

Hey Tabby! Thanks for the kind comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the game just as much as the first time :)

I've actually written the script for two other games that are out already, however as they were produced by Gallium Games, they are not F2P, I'll leave them here below for you in case you are interested in giving a look. Dead Man's Rest was my own design, and The Hepatica Spring was a commission :)

I also have another game upcoming with them soon, my own design, as yet unnamed and in early-stage development, which will be a F2P mobile game - so I'll update this post when I have an official link for it! :)

Thank you for all the support <3

Hi Vioskye,

Tibault here (Theo Southgate) - the writer for DMR :) the devs forwarded on your amazing comments and I just wanted to personally thank you for taking the time to write out such a detailed review and for your extremely kind feedback. This project was my own initial concept and it was a pleasure to bring it to life, and I love hearing that you have had so much enjoyment with it :)

While writing, I particularly focused on trying to make Lee a relatable protagonist, one that isn't just a cardboard cut-out or a Mary Sue, but someone with flaws and feelings and who makes mistakes and learns from them, because I feel strongly that if you don't have a connection with the MC then it's very difficult to see the world through their eyes. I'm really glad that this came across for you while playing.

I also believe it's important to address certain topics that are often avoided in media like this because they're difficult to talk about - homophobia, racism, mental illness, religion, and toxic masculinity being just a few of the ones featured in DMR - but in order to be better to ourselves, and as a society, it's necessary that we address them in an educational way, and I believe stories are an excellent medium to do that. With DMR being based in the Old West, it was a perfect opportunity to bring some of these under the spotlight, while doing my best to make it as historically accurate as possible.

I also think that sex is only one part of a developing relationship as opposed to a 'goal' or an ending; hence why in some of the relationships it appears earlier than others, and in some not at all. Each relationship is different and there's no fixed timeline of when or how these things need to happen, and I also think ensuring the character growth and emotional connection develops in a new way each time helps to keep each route feeling separate and fresh, as this is a replayability issue I encounter in a lot of other VNs I play. (btw Bill is my favourite too! I'm a sucker for a bad boy ;))

I do like your comment about the Cartwright continuity thing, and I agree actually that in hindsight that he could have been portrayed slightly differently during his 'antagonist' arc in Jed's route. You bring up some interesting points and it's certainly something to look into - his struggle with his inner sense of justice is very much hidden under the mask entirely throughout that route, which is something I overlooked. Thank you for taking the time to come up with some suggestions, I really love the passion you clearly have for the game and it warms my heart as a creator to see it :)

Genuinely, I just want to thank you for the review, it really does mean a lot to me to see that you are playing and enjoying my work, and taking the time out of your life to let me know about it. It's appreciated, and I'm humbled by your very kind words.

I very much hope that you enjoy more content from me and the team at Argent/Gallium Games in the future :) <3

Hi CaramelPuff! Thank you for your comment and I'm so sorry it took so long to reply!

I'm so glad to hear you've enjoyed the game!

As far as the last three CGs...

Without giving it away completely, remember that there are extra options in Adam's route, and one of them will give you the chance to get a second, different happy ending with him. Two of the CGs are unlocked this way ^^

The my bad >.< it's literally just the 'locked' standard jpg that I left in there after testing to make sure it worked, because I am absent minded!! I'm so sorry for that, haha!

Best of luck obtaining the other two that you need :)

hey Littlemochii, thanks so much for the comment and I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the game!

Creating experiences like this is the reason I made Castaways, so I'm so happy that you liked the characters and the story :)

Appreciate the kind words!

Hi Kelanael!

Thanks so much for your comment and I'm really glad you're enjoying the story :)

I appreciate the report and I'll make sure to fix it! With 15 different iterations of how the island can look, I definitely would've had a few slip through the gaps, so thank you for spotting that! I'll have a new Adam-free version released later.

I hope you continue to enjoy! <3

It's out indeed! I hope you enjoy :)

Thanks so much for the comment! :)

Due to all the shuffling about of artists it's now looking like a later release but we are still hoping for 2018 :)

I hope you enjoy the game when it's out!

Hi Godline, thank you for your comment!

Sorry the page looks a mess at the moment the image hosting site went down so I am in the process of fixing it!

We got a new artist added to the team last week and we are still looking on track for a September release :)

OHHHH right! Thank you, I didn't realise they all strung together - since I'm missing some I wanted to wait and unlock them all. DERP!

No problem at all, and I can't wait to see all the rest of the content :) I love the concept of different races and the Shika hand thing is I wish I was as creative as you :) Thanks again for all the help!

Thank you so much for answering me!

Yes I did get the message! Which is why it's so strange! Under the 'Quit' button there's three little ones that link to the extra scenes (still don't have three of those unlocked - two, four and six), one to Rafael's letter and one to the concepts. Did I do something wrong?

And thanks for the tip! I didn't even think about failing the routes to get bad endings, how useless am I haha!

(Extra note - I just went through and did all of the races I didn't do the first time and AWW to Braums and Shika Ash's ending <3 honestly really love this game I think it's extraordinary. Thank you for making it!

Hey, I loved the game, have just finished! I did Braums' route as a Reaver, Paris' route as a Cubi and Rafael's as a Shika. I have one question though, I seem to have ended up with endings 1, 2 and 4, and even though I did Rafael's route as a Shika I can't see the button for the secret route! D: I have 85% with him by the end of Chapter 4 so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong?

Love the game, I thought it was very emotional and incredibly well-made. Could you give me some hints so I can get the rest of the endings? :D
