yea unfortunately everyone on the team ended up too busy to get very far with development (finishing university, starting new work, etc)
the intention behind the multiplayer support would be to have something similar to a friend slop game where multiple people would explore a structure which in this case would be the "metroidvania" the bomb would've been one of the unlockable items that would not only let you attack enemies but also blow up destructible walls to unlock new rooms (for some reason the walls weren't visible)
