Didn't expect there to be a turn-based strategy game here but it's great, if not a bit hard. I do kind of wish you could choose more than 3 soldiers, but I feel that's intentional here.

I don't think you're supposed to complete the level, but good job for fooling me. I like how it's obviously a Mario Parody.

This is a functional game that looks and sounds fantastic (Kind of reminds me of old Newgrounds games), but I think the differences were too hard to spot and info on how you increase the sanity meter was kinda vague. Loved the bizarre horror monsters to contrast with the cute art style, though.

It's a simple puzzle game that requires memory and a keen eye but it does a lot with a few rooms thanks to the randomness of the ghosts hiding in objects, and the flashlight level is good for spicing up this formula in a challenging way.

The art style of the game paired with the music gives it a relaxing vibe and I like the detail where hovering over the object shakes it.

Despite some issues (objects can be hard to select, time limit starts even with the text box, grammar errors number of ghosts increasing instead of resetting when you fail, etc) I still had a decent time with the game.

This is a simple, yet interesting puzzle game with good level design, that is good enough to make you think, and the concept of removing words to change the alien's order is innovative.

I will admit, it took me time to figure out that I needed to do it in time, which isn't really explained the best. Also, the alien can detect you from behind you're miles away, which does get a bit annoying if you think you can sneak behind him. Maybe if you had more time you could've added an area of detection to the alien based on distance.

Other than that, good job!

I'm playing as a Frog so I can't trust myself either.

Sorry 'bout that.

I've uploaded the exe of the game and here is the link

Make sure you play this instead of the one on the page and feel free to give me any feedback on my game. This is my first game jam and I'm still figuring stuff out, so sorry again for the confusion.

What's the issue

On top of its lovely pixel art and sense of humour, I love how this game is all about risk vs reward by making all objects untrustworthy and the difficulty increases the further you go. Let me tell you, the enemies following you throughout floors caught me off guard.

I think my only couple of issues are that the runup feels a bit too sluggish, (especially when slightly touching objects kills your speed) and the results and cutscenes are unskippable. Also, maybe I'd put in shortcut steps that skip a few floors in case you go down too deep.

But other than that, Great job!

I love cats and this cute game has a fun, albeit unpredictable loop that makes the game feel less repetitive. I wish you could pet the cat.

Played the full version:
The minimalist black and white visuals are good and the lack of music works well with it and adds to the tension.  Although I thought it was a survival game, I still like how the Russian Roulette gameplay was handled (kind of a mix between Balatro and Buckshot Roulette). is score based and any wrong prediction reduces the multiplier, and also, every deck is randomised so that it's difficult to predict the next move. Also, I wondered why you couldn't get crown cards until I realised that would make your deck overpowered against spades.

If I had to improve anything, it'd be the ability to go to main menu during or after gameplay (mainly to check the tutorial), and add any indication that you have limited tries to reach the score requirements after the bullets are gone.

I liked three things about the game:
1. The pixel art, while simple, looks good and the little sack creature was cute (it was kinda sad that they wanted you to stay for longer).
2. The transition from platformer to maze game was neat and made up for how simple the game was (though I wish it was a bit more clear how far you have to fall to trigger it because I experienced this by accident).
3. I like how the creature teaches the mechanics while still making you wonder if they should be trusted (maybe it could be fleshed out more).

I love the potential here. The game has has great pixel art and music that fits the vibes, but the mirror mechanic is amazing and really innovative, adding substance to what would be a standard game top-down game. I just wish there were more level that would flesh out this mechanic in other creative ways than finding stuff.
