Really well done; I enjoyed this one a lot. The art was simple but fit very well, and the narrative was funny and pretty well written (minus the misspelling of docking at the beginning and a few other minor hiccups with the dialogue box). The only real complaint I have is that transitioning to another screen often requires you to stand in a specific spot, which can easily be rectified by adding more exits, although this takes more time.

Overall, very creative and unique; the ending was also really good and I certainly wasn't expecting it. Well done.

Very well done. Probably the first Bitsy game that actually made me chuckle. You did a very good job matching the theme; you subverted my expectations on a number of occasions. I also was not expecting a troll face at the end; that was good. Well done

I think this is probably your best Bitsy game yet. The theme is spot on, although some of the dialogue feels a little unrealistic/robotic, but this is pretty minor. The fact that you offer the ability to choose between three different pranks is pretty cool, but it took me a while to realize that the three boxes at the beginning relate to the different pranks. The same applies to the lettering above the three doors at the beginning, but this is minor. You could potentially create a better system that leverages Bitsy's dialogue system along with variables and items to circumvent the need for unclear level elements.

Overall, pretty well done. Good job.

Not bad, but there's definitely some things that didn't feel right about it. The music is needlessly chaotic for the setting and does not match. The story, however, is definitely interesting. It was pretty easy to follow, although the limited art style made most of the interactions feel confusing and out of place; I had a hard time understanding what things were meant to represent. The ending felt too brief; the section of road that leads straight back to the beginning due to the "path feeling shorter than before" felt like a strange choice. Overall, not bad considering your time constraints, but I would like to see more of what you're capable of.

Pretty decent. The story is definitely the most engaging part of the game and I found it to be quite interesting and unique (not that I necessarily fully understand it). Mechanically it is very simple, and near the end it began to feel pretty repetitive. Very creative, but I think there's more you could have done with the concept; I like the art style but I would have liked to see more defined textures since I know you're capable; it also would have been nice to see a deeper exploration of Bitsy's capabilities in terms of interactions. Otherwise, not bad.

Really good. The dialogue is funny and well written; it kept me engaged. The functionality is pretty good, although I feel like more types of interactions could have been added beyond fetch quests like Andrey said.It was very creative and I felt it matched the theme of texture very well. I can tell you wanted to go further with this, and I would definitely like to see what you can do without feeling limited by the constraints of a university assignment. Overall, really well done.

All around a really solid showing. You did a very good job conveying a lot of detail with very little. I noticed the subtle addition of letterboxing at the top and bottom of the screen to make the game feel more cinematic, and I really appreciated that addition. The quality of the dialogue really stood out to me; I was immersed very quickly. I could tell right away that the tone was a lot heavier than I would have expected, and that says something considering this is a Seth original. I would have liked to see deeper technical implementations of Bitsy's capabilities, such as requiring specific souls to be collected before progress can be made. Overall, really well done.

Really well done. The visuals go far beyond your first game jam submission; the colour palettes used work really well and you do a great job conveying a lot with little. Like Seth said, I was not expecting a 2D side-scroller, but I appreciated it and I think you did a great job. The boss fight was really cool; it would be nice to see more done with it (and I can think of a number of ways to do this), but it was very cool regardless, and any further implementation would take a lot of work. Overall, really well done.

You did a pretty good job with this game. I can definitely pick up on the theme of texture, so I feel that you executed that quite well. The colour palettes used are really nice and give the game a calming aesthetic. I would not necessarily describe it as a very "fun" game, and the functionality is pretty bland, since you only interact with an item once to get a dialogue response. I feel like you could have done quite a bit deeper, but otherwise well done.

Don't take my grading too hard; I thought that this was very well done. I can't call it a "fun" game on principle, since the theme is quite grim. That doesn't mean it's a bad game, far from it. The story is well done and straight to the point. It captures the monotony of depression very effectively. The interactions are pretty basic and I would have liked to see more integrations with variables and items, as well as dialog "thoughts" from interaction with random items to enhance immersion. Overall, I think you did a very good job with this and I could see you turning it into a very powerful emotional experience given more time to develop it.

I liked this one quite a bit! I love cats, so this resonated with me. Talking to the different cats and the humans revealed a pretty upsetting narrative that stuck with me. The interactions work well, although they are a little shallow. I feel like more could have been done to allow the cat to interact with the environment and enhance the immersion. Otherwise, well done!

Really well done. The story is unique and interesting; I've never considered the concept of an artifact that allows you to see into the thoughts of other people and integrating that into relationship building between characters. The interactions from a functional standpoint are a little shallow, I feel as though you could have expanded on using variables and items to enhance the immersion. Otherwise, really well done for a short Bitsy game.

Pretty solid overall. The story is gripping and tragic, but ambiguous enough to be left to interpretation. Travelling through the weird intestine-like tubes was interesting at first but quickly became tedious. Reminded me of Atari 2600 games like Adventure, and as a huge retro nerd, I really appreciated that. Big fan of your narratives, as depressing as they may be. Good job!

This is pretty good though falls short a bit. I really liked the server room area, that was pretty fun to play! Functionally it is sound. Creativity wise, I wish you went further with it. It has sparks of interesting moments and intrigued, but ends rather soon. Theme wise it is touching the surface of Empathy and doesn't quite go as deep in the discussion, but I have a feeling that's due to running out of time. Overall, visually this is pretty cool and well done - it has that going for it. It just needs to now deliver on the story and impact, and I think you have what it takes. I encourage you to explore more moments like the server room.
