The game has had such a long development period that I would like the full release to come out sometime in 2026. KC is intended to be paid, as it will features around 12-15 hours of content for a complete playthrough (from the start to the True Ending). Even if you were only to play the game once, your first route would offer around 5-7 hours, while subsequent routes would be a bit quicker due to being able to skip repeated content.

It's been a very wild year, indeed. I am sorry that things have been so difficult in many ways. I can't imagine the pain you must be feeling, but trust me when I say you are not alone. I hope as you continue to heal that you are able to pursue your projects at your own pace, even if it's just as a hobby. I can only wish you well during this time, and I hope you take care of yourself, Nayru.
By the end of production, I expect the game to be just under 2GBs. Part of the reason the file size is so large in this demo is the use of 4k backgrounds and layered sprites, which help seamlessly pull off the dynamic animations It's actually a bit smaller than when we were using 1080p rendered sprites. Thank you for bearing with the size, and we'll try and make it as compact as possible for the final release!
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for telling me about this! You see, I had been working with pre-rendered sprites for so long that layered images are still new to me. I knew it was something on my end, but I was able to implement a default attribute set. Thank you very much for your help! You've done a great job with all these tools, and I feel like I've been able to do a lot more creative things in my game thanks to them.
Hello,
When adding the base image_tools to my files, everything worked fine, but I received this error when adding the image_tint_tool.rpy file. I'm not sure what went wrong or how to define 'spectrum,' here. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. After initialization, but before game start. Hello, I have been using this phone UI for my game for a little while now, but I was wondering if I could change something when the phone disappears. I was curious if either 1) The phone could reverse its appearance animation when the conversation is done (a downward easing animation), or 2) when the phone fades out, the last element of the text (the final message) still plays the message appear animation. Is it possible to have the message stay still when the phone disappears?
Thank you for your time, and I really appreciate this pack! Just that one little edit to the exit animation would make it perfect for me.
Hello Yocto! I know it's been a couple of years, but I wanted to let you know that I have gone back and re-approached Jen's character in the story. A new demo has come out to showcase this change in how she is written, so if you would like to see how she has been updated, the new demo is available now! :D
I wish the whole game was done so you could see how her full arc pans out, but hopefully that will not be too far off. I am really happy with this new take on her story, and I hope it resonates with people who found her so enjoyable originally, as well. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you are doing well!
Hello Euphoria,
That picture is currently not accessible in the demo, but will be in the full game. Think of it as something to look forward to. I want to give people a fun and memorable experience inside and outside of the game. I promise it will be worth it once opened, but for now it is an unanswerable easter egg.
I am glad you wanted to see what it was though, thank you so much for playing the demo, and I am glad you are invested!
Thank you very much for the feedback, Leon!
I can definitely see where you're coming from for the qualms with Jen, but aside from her perhaps being a bit too open about herself, she does lack the social aptitude to keep it all in. I understand why it can be a bit questionably written in this way, but I hope that through seeing the rest of the story, you'll understand a bit more. If I do feel like I can soften it a bit though, it is a change I will definitely make!
As for her design, you actually are onto something that her design doesn't quite fit with the rest of the cast. She doesn't really have that business feel to her, but again, I hope you'll see why I went with something a little out of place in the context of the full game.
Regardless, thank you so much for playing! And I really appreciate all the feedback! I want to do everything I can to improve KC into something far beyond what I imagine it, and I hope you'll stick around for the ride. :) People like you who enjoy and give feedback are really the best!
