This game follows the story of Akira, who must choose between saving her friends or saving her family. There are three different routes, and each route allows you many opportunities to get to know the characters. Each chapter has you complete a Battle Map, where you must make your way across a monster-infested map before finally reaching the boss. When you're not completing the main story, you can do other missions, which are different depending on which route you play.

Here's a video showing what the game looks like:

Hazen's Children by TheStar121

I finally finished my RPG Maker game, and I want to put it on Steam, but I want other people to play it on itch.io first. The game is called Hazen's Children. I'll take feedback on anything, but I'm mainly interested in what people think about the gameplay, writing, and music.

There are three routes, and each of them take about two and a half hours to complete. If you're interested, please give it a try, and leave some constructive criticism.

This is a jam made for non-AI RPG Maker games. It's a non-ranked jam, and is intended for beginner devs, but everyone is welcome.

Please keep criticism kind and constructive.

This is a game about Akira, a girl who must choose between killing her friends and saving the world or killing her family and escaping the world. The demo has two routes, and you can play up to the fourth chapter of each of them. Here is the link to the game, and here is the trailer for it.

The full version of the game should be ready in a few months. But until then, please try the demo and see what you think. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

This is the trailer for my first ever RPG Maker game, Hazen's Children. It's about a girl named Akira who has to choose between saving the world and killing her friends, or escaping the world and killing her family.

Here's the link to the game.

Keep in mind that this is just a demo, and the full game will be ready in a few months. In the meantime, please try the demo and tell me what you think.

I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing the full version of the game. I hope that when it comes out, there's an APK file to be downloaded since this was made with mobile games in mind.

This is a game made entirely on my own in RPG Maker MV. It's called Hazen's Children.

I'm looking for feedback on many things, but mainly the story and the gameplay. I've decided to just release a demo for now, so that way, if I need to make any major changes, I can make them before the full game is finished.

If you're wondering what the game is about, basically, it's about a girl named Akira who can either save her world or escape it. If she wants to save it, she can help the Remnants. If she wants to escape it, she can help the Pefallans. For a more detailed explanation, click the link to the game.

Please play it and tell me what you think about the writing, as well as the gameplay. I want to make sure my game is both interesting and fun to play.

I like the songs. I think my favorite ones are the special stage, underground, and verdant valley.

I would recommend using a wider variety of instruments, though. This would help make the songs more distinguishable from each other.

This is a game made entirely on my own in RPG Maker MV.

-Story-

Inspired by the stories of Fire Emblem Fates and Three Houses, "Hazen's Children" follows the story of Akira, a violent criminal torn between saving the world and escaping her life of crime. She's part of a group of people known as the Remnants, who do tasks for their god, Hazen, who has promised to release their true goddess if they can complete them all. Their final task? Summoning seven people from a different world and killing them all.

Akira sees this as her chance to escape her old life and go to a different world. But it would not only mean betraying her family. It would also mean putting the entire world at risk of never seeing their goddess again, and spending hundreds more years under Hazen's reign of terror. But Akira can't bear to kill any more innocent people, even if it means killing them would save the goddess...

-Screenshots-

Below are some screenshots that showcase gameplay.

This is a Battle Map. Battle Maps are like the ones in Fire Emblem, in which you make your way across a map, encountering many enemies along the way before reaching the boss.

This is a Character Cutscene. These are scenes you can complete outside of the main story. They allow you to learn more about a character, and they also allow you to gain some XP without going into battle. You'll get more XP depending on how much the character likes your response.

This is an example of what a battle looks like. For story battles, you'll have a set amount of party members, and you can't choose who they are. But outside of the story, you can customize your team however you'd like.

This is just a demo, but the full game should be ready in a few months. I hope to have it done by December. In the meantime, please try the demo and tell me what you think, and also report any bugs.

Ok so that means I can submit it right?

In my game, there is only one decision the player has to make, and that's at the beginning where they decide which route to play. There are two options at the start, with a third one that can be unlocked by completing the first two routes. There are three options, but would they count as one choice?

Very good game. The controls felt a little slippery at first, but they don't take long to get used to. I like the strategic gameplay. It's not too hard or too easy. The music is also very relaxing. My only complaint is that the menu text is hard to read. It blends in with the background color too much. 4/5 stars imo

The game feels very repetitive: play the claw machine game, hope you get the right prize, and watch a cutscene. And the cutscenes aren't really that interesting, and the claw machine is not fun to control. Maybe I just need to play it more, but given the game's bland, repetitive nature, I'm not sure I want to.

Hi! I've only just started playing (I've only made it past the prologue), but I'm really enjoying it so far. I think the story is really interesting, and Isobel, Volumnius, and Remm are pretty cool characters. As someone who enjoys making visual novels, I think I could learn a lot from this game.
