Hi everyone!
I'm a developer, wanted to notify, that PC (Windows) version brings better experience and provide better graphics quality. In WebGL version you can face a problem with cube block on third level like "can't push" or "hard to push", so please, download PC (Windows) version: https://thesomethinggood.itch.io/ten-steps-down#:~:text=More%20information-,Download,-Download
Also, please look at and rate the game page, I tried my best.
Thank u for understanding! I appreciate you playing my project <3
Yeah, I felt it on me one time, when very little count of reviewers was on my game with PC version, that's why I always try to make WebGL version and add touchpad/gamepad support to bring more different players.
Also about trailer - yours is awesome, I even left a comment on your video. I tried to make something that present my game on this jam and published it on YouTube, too. It's interesting experience, always loved to video editing, but never did this with material from my game.
And I 100% agree about how talented people on this jam, so much interesting and beautiful games. It's my first so big gamejame, and I reviewed already a lot games and happy to talk with every developer.
Also wanted to know - what do u use for editing? I use Premier Pro recently, I used After Effects long time ago, don't know if I should remember again it to bring more quality in trailers.
Also wanted to how is ur genre calls? Im talking about genre of gameplay and style of graphics (it reminds me ps1 style, but you have a lot more quality then ps1).
I think u did a great job and it also very hard as for me to do it on Unreal Engine.
Nicely done!!! I think combination of audio and gameplay are fitting 10/10. I empressed about water shader and other models, u did well!
It will be nice maybe to add left/right movement, so it will be more options to swim over the pool. Also i think adding gamepad/touchscreen support will lead this game to the next level.
You did a great job, good luck with this project!
I will be glad if u check my game too <3
It so cute <3
Awesome art and font (how does it called?). So nice gameplay, I barely reminded math :D
Amazing sfx, maybe without audio game feels nice, maybe it will be nice to add some ambient.
I loved this dino and fishing rod variants.
You did a great job, good luck with this project!
I will be glad if you play my game too <3
Hi, thank u so much that u played my game.
As far as I understand, this is somehow connected with the incorrect setting of pushing the cube, apparently it depends on the player’s device :( So that why one player can push, another player have troubles with this. I will upload fix after gamejam with another polishing features.
Anyway thank u for the feedback! I will play your game tomorrow <3
Only i wanted to say how easy boss figh was.... and this badass giving me second phase :D
But i did it!!!

Its awesome art, good music and really awesome gameplay - its interesting to look how abilities work.
It has something to polish like do button more stylish similar to art, music in boss fight was a little bit short, so i heard its ending and repeating.
You did a great job, good luck with this project!
I will be glad if u play my game too <3
Its so nicely done! I liked the relaxing vibe. Art and particles are awesome and lovely to look on. Audio of clicking on it is fitting here 10/10.
I think u can bring to this game gamepad support and it will be OSU like experience)
I dont agree with guy below - this game doest have nothing similar with captcha... dont think its nice of him to say like this to the game)
You did a great job, game feels really stylish, good luck with this project <3
Yoooooo, its so brilliant!!! I loved all - art is amazing, also character is so cute and nicely animated. I really like combination of music and gameplay - it fits 10/10. This game really reminded me "Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster’s Hidden Treasure" on Sega Mega Drive from my childhood, its really cool like this game.

Also i found some bugs. First one - if u try to jump under platform (like on screen) u will stack and game, as i think, will crash after all. Restarts with shift didnt happen and also page with game was lagged.

The second one - if u try to use "shift" to restart game when u didnt die it will restart level, but not the player - so u can use it like exploit to get extra time (like on gif below)

All bugs didn't interfere me to play and enjoy the game, so dont worry <3
You did really good job, this game so nostalgic for me and at the same time so fresh, that i would like to play it on polished version. Good luck with this project!
Its so amazing work! Art, audio, animations and gameplay is so good, and as i read mostly all done by u - its brilliant work.
Also i checked the trailer u made - its awesome <3
Can u give me advice how reach such a good result? What should i use or do to make some experience? U said that tried to create something that stood out, so how long do u study for such result?
You did a great job, good luck with this project!
It was super interesting! So funny that our ideas so similar, but at the same time has different way of interpretation :D
I really enjoyed, but there was some moments, that i would like too see. Saves ofc will be really useful, on one really hard level i accidently presse leave to main menu. And also i faced with problem of stack with objects on circle-riding platform, i think u should add collisions, that will not stop character and push away, because now im stucking in blocks with pills on them and should to restart level.
Really good job, good luck with this project!
Yeah, sorry for the bad experience with the third level(
WebGL version have known bug like "can't push" or "hard to push" with the box.
But if u have some time, u could play in PC version TenStepsDown-1.0.3.zip on download section. It will be nice to hear your feedback, I saw a lot of games in ur profile. I will check ur submition today, too.
Hi, yeah, its my biggest trouble on this jam with game - i have bug on WebGL, and dont have it on PC version on the same time)) And i understand, that maybe I should hide WebGL just for gamejam time, but i know that not anyone can/want to download games, so i try with this notify message... But its experience, that i will learn)
Thank u so much for the feedback! Your game is awesome, really appreciate that u played mine too <3
Yoooo, it's awesome! I really liked combination of art, design, dialogues and audio. Gameplay feels amazing, you polished it really nice. Also how does this genre calls?
I think u should probably work around with buttons and radial circle with bits, because now it doesn't fit with art and style.
Brooo, it's really nice job, idk how to say more. If it was only prototype for pre-boss phase, what should it be as a full game <3
I will be glad if you play my game too!
I liked audio and art, they are nicely fit in this game! i think gameplay can be interesting, but maybe u should look to this game in another "plane".
What if this game can be more than runner, what if it can be story telling game with adventuring quest by quest, but will have combat system like u did? I think it will be nice to play in such game - talking with characters, taking quests with cozy mini games or collecting different items for quest, confronting with enemies and bosses in world in the way how u did this game, like a fight desk in deck builder games.
You did a great job, good luck with this project!
I will be glad if u play my game too <3
Oh, I really liked this level where I should shot green button first and then shot purple one, it took some time for me to understand this time management :D
Good job with this idea, I think audio may be less annoying, because know it's really retro wave beats without real melody as for me.
Art and gameplay feels good. You did a great job!
I will be glad if u play my game too.
I loved vibe of the game! Art, font and sprites of the card, buttons, icons is awesome looking. Colors that u chose is fitting 10/10. Also gameplay wasnt so clear for me on the beginning, it would be much easier if u bring more interactive tutorial, less text in dialogues and try to put player vision to the concrete button/feature/mechanic and describe it on example. I see how good synergy of all elements - so it will be nice to see this game in polished stage.
You did a great job, good luck with this project!
Amazing work! You did a great job, I loved the graphics and the chess-like features of this game. It's a very interesting idea, and it feels more like a real game than a concept, with a few things left to polish. For example, I'd add finishing (kill) animations, as if it were chess from Harry Potter. I think it will bring fun in game. Also it would be nice to have more interactive tutorial.
Good luck with this project <3
Its super fun, i really loved the dialogues, art, audio and gameplay ofc! I was on stream of SuperPuff yesterday, when saw this game. I really like the style, also this funny walk animation 10/10. Its awesome how u combined plane panel and fighting with fire - it creates intense for gameplay. Also it will be nice to see ability to take passangers and sitting them on sit (or maybe throwing them out of plane, because they are really annoying in some moments :D)
You did a great job, good luck with this project!
I will be glad if u check my game, too <3
