The same thing happened to me, I'm not quite sure why.

While the art is great and gameplay seems very fun, I unfortunately was not able to use the grappling hook, possibly due to a bug. I would love to be able to play the full game at some point!

Overall, a lot of fun! The art and music were charmingly made, and the gameplay was a lot of fun despite its simplicity. Honestly, my only real critique that is there isn't more game to enjoy!

I'm not quite sure if there's more beyond the first room that I was unable to find, but what I did experience was a lot of fun! The title screen was very charming, and the performance beforehand even moreso. However, one thing that I'd love to see is implementing some amount of invincibility frames after damage, since there were a couple times that one attack hit me three times in a row and I instantly died. Overall, I really enjoyed it, though!

It's really hard to give this game a high rating, because, as you noted, you weren't able to complete it, but what you do have is excellent!

Excellently made text-based game with a unique interpretation of the theme! The choices were compelling and the writing did an excellent job of setting the mood throughout. While it's hard for me to compare this type of game with ones more focused on replayability or skill challenge, it was very well made, and I can't think of any real flaws. Great job!
