Go to windows security and under Virus and Threat Protection click manage settings and add an exception for the folder where you keep the game (so that you can update it and keep it whitelisted)

On M2 Mac I got a "This app can't be opened" warning -- if anyone has same problem try The Unarchiver instead of the default Archive Utility ZIP extractor. Gave me the normal "Unidentified developer" hassle but works now.
