Played through them both, although I am curious why you submitted two very similar games to the jam. They seem like could have been combined into one game. I'm leaving my feedback here instead of in reviews so I can talk about both.

Deep Coma:

I liked the art and music, as well as the platforming mechanics. The tutorial section was really slick. As for negative things, the gameplay was not unique and the game was pretty short. Short isn't too hard to fix. Gameplay not being unique is much harder to fix, but that's the downside of platformers.


DISC ROOM:

As in Deep Coma, the art and sound is really good, as well as the platforming. I did run into some issues in this game though. In the room that introduces the dash ability, if you die the falling platform does not respawn. I had to close the game and restart it to get past it. Upon re-reading the game page, I learned F5 would have worked as well, but neither is a good solution. Next, in the room with the disc cannon and the two buttons, I died right as I hit the second button and crashed the game.

Other than that, I don't have much to say about it that I didn't mention in Deep Coma.

Nice work on them. If you want to keep working, what they need most is content.

If anyone wants some feedback on their jam game just let me know. I'll play it over the next few days and try to leave some feedback.

Ran into an issue where I got trapped in a room without enough pizzas to win on the level with the first teleporters. Had to restart the game.

Besides that, it was fun. A nice risky gameplay loop, trying to decide if it is better to pick off the easy pizzas then dash to the finish, or navigate to the finish with boxes to spare in case of a rogue pizza.

My record is 48. Didn't realize there was a sprint or I could have made it to 50. Got a lot more fun when realized it was behaving like a die. I wish there was some interesting difficulty scaling as you went along, as I ended up un-engaged towards the end.

That was fun. Easy to control, fun to figure out the strategies. I never figured out what the chests did, though. Just some icons off to the side. I wish there were guide lines displayed for where your spells would go. I missed a shot and died because I though my spell was one square over. I know it is pretty obvious, but that didn't stop me.

I like the sort of "all one room" gimmick. It made for some fun moments. Obviously a little short, but still fun. Not sure the game is beatable at 4x disc speed...

What engine did you use for this?

Surprisingly challenging to figure out how to get past the obstacles even with such a small move set. Pretty fun. It was pretty annoying to have to keep restarting from the beginning each death, though. Checkpoints would be a wonderful addition.

Did you upload the right file? The game I'm playing looks nothing like the screenshots.

Pretty fun, although I wish you moved faster while holding a key down. Made the game slower than I think it needed to be.

Wild idea, and not half bad. Not the most engaging gameplay but I found it pretty funny. I beat it, but I didn't manage to get 2 discs. I did a sweep through all other rooms, but I never managed to find a 17th disc to unlock D1. I'm assuming the 18th was inside it.

3392 is my top score. Really neat looking. Took me a while to find the discs, but they're there. Soundtrack is very fitting.

I got to 6 orbs. Nice puzzle game, but I wish the discs were more predictable. I sometimes died because of some chain reaction I had no idea the result of.

Awesome! Managed to get a score of 32. Lots of unique weapons and balanced discs. I think Pico-8 can output html, and from my experience more people play if you embed that on your page. Might be my favorite so far.

I really don't like this type of rhythm game, or rhythm games in general, so I can't really give great feedback. I'll do my best.

Level 2 was too hard for me.

I thought the dialogue some of the people said was funny when I walked up to them.

Mixing Arrow Keys + E + Mouse for the controls was little rough to work with. Let the player navigate menus using the keyboard so they don't ever have to switch hands like that.

Pretty fun! I wish there was a larger border around the game, because when I want to click on a side I have to be very precise to not just click the webpage. Very satisfying flops.

Second game I've played with a fish. Not sure the odds of that out of 166 entries. (https://itch.io/jam/disc-room-game-jam/rate/805515) You got the better name for sure. Fun small game, but I wish there was more to it, or at least more to make it distinct from Disc Room. The water collection is neat but not particularly major. I never found myself running too low.

Nice work. Very atmospheric and a cool setting. I wish there were more puzzles.

I was hoping someone would make a first-person disc room! Not a bad game at all. A score counter would be nice, as would some way to see where the discs were coming from. Maybe a minimap? Lots of ways to go with this if you wanted to expand it. I'd lower the discs so you can see them better and add more types.

Funny concept and unique gameplay. My best time is only 13.43 though. I wish I could click and drag to send lots of the little dudes up at once. More than once I messed up because I missed a click, and it would be nice if I could just drag over to the guy instead of re-clicking.

Nice work. I appreciated that I wasn't punished for missing the outlines. You should make it keep track of your highscore, though. I'd share my best score if I had it.

Also, if you hold down "R" I think it continually resets the game. Might want to check that.

I was joking about DISC's name. It didn't bother me at all.

It was not too difficult. I really like the level of difficulty, actually. Some of the faster discs or weird pattern ones were just too hard to keep track of. It felt like I couldn't do much to avoid them. If I was really good with dodging the other discs I could still make it through though, so it didn't mess with the difficulty too much. They just weren't as fun to avoid as other discs.

Lots of fun. I wish it saved my highscore. I know I got a 144 at some point, but I might have gotten higher. Really slick design. I like the border indication of health and the stretchiness of the pointer. The coins were nice too. Simple game but very well executed.

It is difficult, not too bad in most places but there were a few times that it seemed needlessly so. Level 2 the player had to repeat a few sections to pick up keys, and that didn't seem to add to the level. After dying on a section lots I didn't enjoy going back to it again even more just to get a key. Level 3 was too difficult. I could not reach the second checkpoint after 50 deaths on normal. Tried easy for a while, but still couldn't make it.
Mechanically sound game, which makes the difficulty more bearable. Platforming felt accurate and responsive. It would benefit from more levels, slowly ramping up the difficulty.

Yeah I wouldn't hold my breath for results. I've only managed to rate 13. Play the games in the meantime and leave some feedback. As for how they'll report, probably here. Might as well follow Devolver on twitter, though. They've made announcements there previously. That tweet shows your game in it, too.

Nice work. Fun art and neat sections to navigate on the fly. The collisions for the blades didn't make sense to me, and they killed me quite a few times. I had a bug where the mouse pointer sprite rendered as just square of sparse noise. not sure what that was about, but it didn't impact the gameplay.

Needs work, but it's a prototype. If you stay in a corner I think you can live forever.

Got a record of 23.938. The drag and drop + WASD worked well, but I felt keeping the bird up was a little too time consuming. He fell very quickly.

Love the art. 4/5 levels were fun, but the last seemed like the discs were moving too fast to really work around. I feel like I won just because I got lucky with how the dad and the discs were moving.

Perfect sound design. I managed to save 15. Nice work.

Fun game, and a very neat concept. I only made it to 16. I couldn't figure out how to leave the game besides brute Alt-F4ing.

Short and sweet. I liked the variety of challenges, although I felt some of the faster more chaotic sections were a bit too hard to keep track of. Good thing you included extra lives. Mr. Disc didn't look much like a disc to me...

Good risk/reward mechanics, although I wish the enemies gave you a little breather after you died.

Good mechanics but too difficult for me. Never managed to reach 10 seconds on any level. It doesn't seem like it would even be possible on some of these levels. In particular, for a game about memorizing paths, the bouncing balls aren't consistent, which made that level pretty weak. Wall jumping off of the spike walls was also very difficult to pull off. It felt like they should have had a longer delay before popping out. If the game was balanced so you could live longer I think the platforming/dodging highscore thing would have more longevity and be more fun. I enjoyed playing it a bit, but dying after a few seconds gets dull pretty quick.

I also couldn't hear the music you said was playing. My browser seemed to know this tab was trying to play music, but I couldn't get the audio to work. Might be my end, but you should double check how the audio is being played.

88 Pizza, 99 Time. Good game. I wish it saved my highscore. I appreciated that there was a disjoint piece of pizza on the pizza sprite so I could see what was behind them.

A bit hard to get into but I managed to beat it eventually. Had fun, too. The mouse controls felt a bit "sticky" sometimes, though. If I dragged the mouse to the edge of my screen the disc I was grabbing would be dropped, which made quick movements difficult. It also felt like sometimes my selecting/deselecting wasn't registering or became unregistered. It was a slow enough paced game where that didn't matter too much.

Windows flagged this as a "severe Trojan". Any idea why that is? I'm a little hesitant to play it now.

Lots of fun. Neat twist to be predicting where the discs are so you can collect them. Ran into situations where the dish I was looking for didn't spawn in, though. Both times it was a white round one. If you're looking to continue the project that should be fixed.
