I just wanted to make this topic in hopes someone who's getting this version sees it and can learn about a potential glitch. (maybe the developer or itch will notice and see about the problem.
Anyway : I bought this version, here on itch and downloaded/installed through the desktop app. Everything seemed fine until I tried the `folder` command. It did nothing. I also couldn't properly save or load my projects. Turns out I didn't have a lexaloffle folder. It didn't get created. I uninstalled and reinstalled, hoping to fix the problem but it did nothing. The problem was only solved by going to the official website and downloading from there.
I don't know what was going on. I don't know if it was something wrong with the itch version or a glitch on my end but I thought I should make a topic about it (I'll also see if I can mention this anywhere else where it can get looked into).
For reference : I'm on Manjaro Linux (xfce desktop environment). Using the Thunar file manager. I downloaded the amd64 version. I'm also using a mini pc (nucbox gmktec g3). I don't know how much of that info is important but given the situation I figure providing as much info as possible could be helpful.
That's all. I hope I just experienced a very weird and rare glitch and that no one else deals with this. Paying $15 for a game engine that glitches and won't save projects isn't exactly great. I'm glad I managed to get my situation fixed but I worry others won't be as lucky if this happens to someone else.
