Dude! I coulda gotten some more ratings if I had edited the thumbnail lol. I'm crying

Ty! No audio definitely hurts for this game, and I’ll try to improve on it next time.

Thanks for the kind words. I wish I had gotten to the sound too, but I had some last second things irl that kept me from getting to it. Definitely will be more prepared next time.

Thank you. And I’m glad you caught the verses lol. My friend Matthew asked to get into the game, so I chose the “ask and it shall be given unto you…” verses and then after put his nickname Matt-the-W. I love putting little Easter eggs like that.

Of course! It’s still a really cool game nonetheless, and it also might just be a skill issue for me.

Fun game. I like the sprites, and the movement felt really smooth and natural. I don't think the music loops, though, which would be a nice feature to add. Also,  I appreciate and congratulate your reason for making this game. The gift Jesus offers to us is incredible, and finding a way to share it in your game is awesome.

Awesome game and extremely creative take on the theme. The gameplay feels a little shallow, but for joining the jam late, this is great.

Awesome game. Short and sweet, but nothing seemed to be skipped. Nice sound, animations, sprites, music, menu, etc. Well done.

I love the art style and the music. I do wish there were some way to judge how long to hold the spacebar, other than feel. Perhaps a few more checkpoints would've helped. Otherwise, impressive game.

Cool game. The sound effects add a lot, and the visuals work really well, too. Personally, I would get rid of the jumping mechanic, as it isn't necessary and looks off. Just set the jump speed to zero. Otherwise, I enjoyed the game and finished it.

Neat game. I like the unique platformification idea and the simple style. If you continue adding to the game, I would add coyote timing (it's basically a must for platformers). The platformification itself also felt a little janky and might require some tweaking. Cool game overall, though.

Of course. Good luck!

I love the idea. Crazy interpretation of the theme lol. My personal recommendation would be to add some difficulty to the game in the form of lives or something like that.

Thanks!

For your first jam that’s insane, though. I didn’t even get to touch sound design. Good luck.

I appreciate it man. Was a ton of fun, and trying out everyone’s games is just about as good.

Thanks for letting me know. There should’ve been a dialogue section that mentioned the dash, but it’s a little too easy to skip. I’ll probably add a timer for the dialogue after the jam is over.

We can all try😂

It could be better, but here's my record.

If anyone else has or does finish Prisoner 39, we can keep track of the times here. Just post your screenshot.

I did it finally! I think I cheesed a section or two, though. I found out you can wall climb with the arrows. If you time the recall right, you can fire the next arrow before you fall. Also, I'm assuming the fact that the arrow pulls me with it when I shoot down sometimes isn't intentional? I actually enjoyed finding this tech. It allowed me to be creative.

It's a cool game. I absolutely love the sound design. The jump mechanics feel janky, though. I couldn't get it to wor

Congrats on the game! My main issue is just that the graphics kinda blurred. It's probably a project settings thing. Other than that, though, neat game.

Really fun game. I spent a good while trying to beat it. I think you just over-tuned the difficulty a little bit, but I love the idea and the feel nonetheless.

I like the idea. The hitboxes feel a little too unforgiving, which is my biggest complaint. I love the sound when you lose, though. Brought a smile to my face and made me wanna try again.

Fun game. It feels slightly slow, even at the max setting, but the rest was awesome. Nice high scores too lol.

It was a lot of fun to try. I couldn't grab the last item for some reason, though, and it took me a minute to realize the fuel was on the stations and not the planets (UI was a little misleading). I love the idea, though: it felt like I was in space the whole time,  the menu was fantastic (a little dizzy lol), and the music in the background matched perfectly.

Shoutout HelperWesley for helping me get my game in!

I just made my first game too, but I barely missed the deadline lol. This looks fun though.

Cool game. I'll try to come back and rate it once I get help so I'm in the game jam.
