Hey ! Thanks a lot :) I'm glad that you like it, if you want there is the version currently under development available here : https://the-workshop-geek.itch.io/fms

Huuu I don't know, you can find inspiration from Vampire Survivors definitely :)Thanks a lot !
I am developing this into a full game, you can find the current version here : https://the-workshop-geek.itch.io/fms

I had a day off during the jam that helped a lot :)

An hour <3

Thanks a lot for your feedback !

Indeed it's too hard right now. I had a six hours drive so I had time to pounder this and I think that I will introduce critical hits.
Your first tree shots, the ones that are single shots, will crit against enemies.
The last one, that comes is tripled, will crit against the map cells.

This will should help smooth out the difficulty curve, give a more interesting gameplay loop, and help differentiate this character from future ones.
The visual feedback from those crits could be the ripple effect that I added and that is maybe a bit too much right now.

Anyway thanks again for playing at such an early stage of development. An hour, that means a lot :D I created a discord server if you are interested https://discord.gg/8DK2gyjq

Ok I was able to reproduce the issue one of my pcs. And now it starts properly. So I fixed at least one bug, I hope it's the same one that you got :D

Damn ! I'll look into fixing this. Probably due to the shader. What bugs me is that I can't reproduce it for now

Thanks a lot for trying !

Hey ! I updated the game outside the scope of the gamejam, so I created a new page here : https://the-workshop-geek.itch.io/fmsAnd it has your exe :)

Hey ! I haven't added an easy mode, but the difficulty curve is now a lot gentler :) Plus when you get hit you have an explosion that will destroy close enemies and you have more bonuses

It does not feel too box2d, good job :)

How do you handle the physics and collisions ? Is it custom or box2d ?

Thanks a lot Bob !! :)

I'm glad that you like the style and music combo, I wasn't too sure about dropping my usual chiptune theme at first

Hey ! How high did you go ?

Really cool entry !!!

So during my lunch time I buffed the lucky shot drastically. It's a lot more fun now. And added super time stop :)

Haaaa thanks for the follow up ! <3
Yeah I noticed it, it should have already improved but there are still a few improvements that I need to do. If you want the desktop version is a looooot more performant

- Buff the time : Yes I could have a SUPER TIME UPGRADE that would be offered when you have the regular time bonus ! Activating on a button.. That was my initial idea but I like the simple controls. Need to think about this.
- Agree on the luck update it's weak
- I love the explosion but that's something I would need to implement not sure to have enough time before the end of the jam :( I was thinking a big explosion when you get hit. I love explosions :')
- block destroy upgrade, yeah good idea. I was thinking two characters, one that would give you a buff against blocks. But in the meantime yeah

I love the idea of the golden cubes !

Thanks for all the good ideas ! <3 I love your feedback !

Super time will be the goal for the next update, it's a quick win

Got it :) Thanks for your feedback !
I think it needs some roguelite elements

Hooooooooooo so coool !! That's the first time I distribute an executable. Thanks !

Thanks a lot !
Yes it screams for some roguelite elements. Someone on the libGDX discord managed to get all the powerups so I hesitant to tweak the current balance

Ha yeah sure ! It's just a gamejam entry and I suck at art. As you can see in the game.
Besides, this one made me think about the box art we used to get for old games

Not sure what you mean by that ?

I added a zip that contains everything you should need to run the game.
Beware that it was just meant as a gamejam browser project, so it does not support resizing :)
HF !

I'll give it a try, but I'm not on windows so you will be my alpha tester :)

Hello ! They seem pretty high res, what's the resolution of the sprites ?

My current max is over 11000

I tweaked it ! :)

Thanks !

Hello ! I'd like to know the ratings of my game, how can I get it ?

YEah need to fix this at least ! You can consider that you finished the game in a way :)
At least apparently it runs smoothly enough that people can get those crazy scores :o

Haha yeah apparently you can get too good.
It wasn't good enough to see it before the submission, should have done some math !
Thanks for the feedback ! Glad you want more, I will fix the balancing :)

Stealing is a very sincere form of compliment :)

Thanks ! Glad you enjoyed it !For the sound effects, I used sfxr, and change the pitch at runtime pseudo randomly

gg that's a very respectable score :)

omg you already broke the game.

You're better at it than I am.

Need some balancing !

Hey ! That very nice, gg ! How many levels are there ? I'm stuck at level 2 right now

Well, for everyone that participates :)

It's my first jam on itch, is this community section appropriate for this ? Looks like a forum to me

Hey !

What are you working on ?

On my side, some silly space invaders meets vampire survivor thing, with very short play sessions as a focus

Good luck man :)

Let's get retro then
