Really great game for the jam. I will say a couple of things for feedback -

The attack itself felt a bit clunky with having to be both stationary and very close to the enemy to use it

It felt a bit bad getting hit multiple times without getting any invincibility

I know I saw this in someone else's comment, but coyote time would be good at helping the platforming feel a bit better

Also potentially the camera being a bit lower, it felt like I couldn't really see what was below me until it was too late

With all that said, the art was amazing, I was really impressed with the health animation, and the backtracking once you had the right skills felt great.

Very cute game. No complaints that aren't known bugs.

That is my bed, escape actually does pause the game, I just didn't have time to add the pause menu so there is no way to unpause and i forgot to take out the code that let you pause it. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Really cozy and beautiful game. Really made me feel comfy.

I'm a big fan of roguelites and platformers, so I did really enjoy this. It was cool figuring out other things the brush power could do that aren't explicitly told to you. Great first game jam game!

Dumb fun in the best way possible. BALL

Could have used some music and/or spinning sound effects, but at the end of the day... LETS GO GAMBLING!!!!! Ah dangit

Couldn't figure out how to get any ending but 1/3, or get the trash achievement or the secret room achievement, but the game was fun. Really cool where some of the numbers were hidden.

Great game, it is supposed to feel challenging, and it did. I couldn't beat it, but I did come close (this is a skill issue).

Looks really good. Would be great to have more feedback when doing tasks, but there is only so much that can get done for a game jam. There are a bunch of things I wish I had more time to implement in my game, but you did great overall!

Besides the bugged enemy spawn rate that you are aware of, the only thing I'll say is that the download speed upgrade seems very very powerful when stacked with itself. Might be a good idea to cap it or give it deminishing returns? Besides that the retro astetic looks really good, and the game felt great, Great Job!

If Anyone is stuck/wondering how to beat the boss, it has a shield that is on a timer. After 15 seconds of staying alive, you are able to damage it with any block.

Really good game. No complaints besides the obvious shortness of the game (mine is also very short). Feels super polished. Well done!

Super cute art style, and felt really clean/smooth to play. I got a bit confused on how to type out the date (I tried doing dd/mm/yyyy, but in hind sight should have realized that didn't fit). Great game! I would appreciate it if you could play/rate my game as well, but don't feel like you need to or anything.

No problem, was a very fun game for as much as I could play, and like I said before I really love when games deal with the window, so great implementation of that!

(1 edit)

I love it so much! It feels a bit weird having to hold in the direction of the wall to wall jump when I want to jump across to another wall, and it would be nice if the camera was a little lower to give my mouse more space to drag the shot down, but other than that the game felt great. The art is soo cute though, and shotgun jumping is so cool. Great game!

Great first game. I agree with other commenters that it might be nice to have some indicator as to what objects might be interactable, but maybe you could do it in a subtle way like maybe put some cracks in wood to make it look like you could break it or something like that. Overall super impressive, especially as a solo dev!

I loved Goblino's voice line, and found the dbd skill check very fun and neat (but that little guy is such a nuisance, and that is by design I assume, and that is great). I didn't have much problem with Goopy because turning the lamp on was kind of just part of my cycle, but it was a bit annoying when things stack up so that I was running back and forth with no time to go to the pc because it is either off and after turning it on there was someone to deal with, or because there was just someone to deal with. The timer felt a bit slow to me, but overall the game felt great!

Really cool concept for the jam. It would be nice to have an option to maybe discard stuff in case you miss the deadline, but that could just be a skill issue on my end. Great job.

Great game content and idea. I'm not the best at rhythm games, so I struggled at that part, but I always love when the game uses the window itself/desktop for gameplay or story elements. Is the rhythm game the last one? It seemed like I beat it and it restarted the last song, so I thought I might be doing something wrong, but then I realized it had a different animation when I got to the end, so I assume it was the end. Overall great start and great gameplay.

Really funny take on a zelda game. The one thing I will say is that before the mom fight, it was a bit visually distracting that navi was centered on the screen. Great otherwise, just might want to move navi to the left or right a bit for visual clarity.

Great feeling game. I found that if you dash up while next to a wall and wall jump before you lose your momentum, you do a really big wall jump that can kind of slide up another wall. Probably not intended, but it was really fun to play around with and see if there were any spots where it could be useful.

Sure! If you do want to go back and fight the boss (I recommend it because there is an ending), the boss has a shield that goes away after a period of time, so you have to just survive for a bit before hitting it with an item.
