Thanks for playing it! I'm working on a larger version of this that I'll release on steam at some point with like enemies and stuff, once I'm done with the first area I'll put a web build on itch.

WOAH! You did a game for the jam too! awesome!

Talk to the well (wellium) and then milk master will talk about how he needs a bucket. Also thanks for playing it!

I like the artstyle, the controls are pretty anxiety inducing. but its a great game for your first jam game.

cool

thanks so much for playing! A lot of the puzzles are really specific so I'm kind of surprised anyone's beaten it

the door opens if theres 60 seconds or less, you can find this out by getting [insert item], going back to the spawn location, talk to you, then win the pregnancy battle

I'm glad you like it, I was a bit worried my humor might be a bit too much for most people. but I think the most important thing was finishing it

Thanks so much for playing, did you do the button puzzle to open the door?

I didn't know you were doing this jam too! You did a really good job, this is probably my favorite interpretation of the theme that I've seen so far.

its not bad, I'm really impressed by how much you were able to do! getting even the basic super effectiveness in a battle system is really tough.

I wish there were setup moves and more pokemon mechanics, high level pokemon is really strategic but a lot of pokemon games don't utilize the potential of them and the most viable strategy ends up being "use strongest move" 100% of the time.

Dream eater only works on asleep pokemon, inaccurate game

You understood everything perfectly, I'm surprised no one else picked up on this. Arby's was a HUGE inspiration so its nice to see it mentioned.

Didja know?

so true

thanks!

You did a great job on this game, the hitboxes feel a little unfair on the right half of the boxes and sliding doesn't seem to add anything, but everything else was great!

Thanks I was pretty stuck on how to expand on that mechanic (pun very much intended), but that idea came to me by just randomly placing tiles

THIS IS THE SINGLE BEST VIDEO GAME I HAVE PLAYED IN 50 YEARS, MY NAME IS TODD HOWARD AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE, THIS GAME IS BETTER THEN ALL OF THE NEW AAA GAMES AND HOLOW NIGHT IS SO BAD IN COMPARISON BECAUSE THIS GAME IS JUST SO GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You did an amazing job on this game, if it ran on browser it would probably do even better I hope you get a good score on the jam!

Thanks, my main project is a turn=based platformer. after my break I'll get back into prototyping it

Pretty much the only issue I had was the acceleration feeling like I'm on some kind of super ice zone all the time. other than that it was great.

This game is extremely well made for a game jam, you did a great job! The things that bugged me about the game after playing it were how hard it was to find elements (until I realized they were in alphabetical order lol), and how long the game was. I'm glad to have watched some of the streams

I finished the game and here are my thoughts

Pros:

Game audio was great

Game art + animation was superb (amazing use of squash and stretch)

Overall presentation was awesome

Cons:

The game mechanics felt a little bit poorly implemented, the bomb jump specifically felt really variable since if you jump the same frame the bomb spawns you get way more height then I feel is intended (this could be fixed by giving a consistent velocity rather than a velocity based on position or however it currently works)

The level design felt very unfair at times and I found myself just running through parts as fast as I can without any thought after multiple attempts of trying (this sadly isn't an easy fix and its something you learn with time)

The character feels very slippery, in Celeste you have about 2 frames of accel/decel, but here it feels more like 15-20 frames

In conclusion, your team did a great job and I hope to see more games from you in the future.

I figured it out, its because the audio player is attached to the player but the listener is the camera, so it teleports on death

I use that tech to speedrun all the time lol

there's 10 jams in total

a lot of people are getting stuck on the 3rd room since they think you aim with mouse, I'll probably add some text on the main menu since I don't have too much time (because I'm a bit busy these last 2 days) before the jam ends

Yeah, about a sixth of people are getting stuck on room three because of this, I might need to put some text on the start screen or something saying (you aim with wasd)

yeah, I'm not too sure why

I feel like Jump buffering, checkpoints, and coyote time would improve this game a lot

I had the same idea, cool

This game was so slappin, I cried so much on the part with the dog dying and I couldn't believe you would kill all of those innocent people so violently.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing my game, I noticed after I submitted the game that the final jump was way more difficult than it needed to be

Thanks for playing my game! Celeste is my favorite platformer and if I ever turned this into a full game I would spend months on a refined momentum system

Did you like the "credits"?

Thanks for the feedback
