Hey, thank you for the longggg review. I was thinking of making a jumpscare for the negative ending but i thought it would be a bit too much and if I'm being honest I'm not too confident in my pixel art. Might add it at some point though, if i continue working on the game. As for the font i want to give some credit since its not made by me, its made by the amazing Kenny which has a bunch of free assets and its called Kenny Mini. Glad you liked the graphics though, really proud of them.
I love the artstyle and the game idea but the movement sometimes feels a bit janky like it doesnt move exactly in the direction you press. Also i found myself not really using the dodge because it takes a bit too long to dodge again and you can avoid everything by just strafing. Also i feel like you do too little damage or the enemies maybe have too much HP, so it feels really boring and slow to kill them. I do like that melee does more damage than ranged though. This is just a bit of feedback, i really like it other than these little things.
I am not quite sure what i played but it was lovely. I loved the art style. Heres a bit of feedback. You should have the music be integrated into the game so people dont have to open it in another tab, if you shoot howard and then talk to him he still says thank you for not shooting me and there is a small spelling mistake. It says "Maybe you need yo be here" instead of "Maybe you need to be here". Hope you get a good score on your gamejam.
