Cute idle game, here's the two things that come to mind tho:

  1. Ik that this is an idle game, but it's also a jam game, and people like to go fast through these, so I think that the progression at the later stages could have been a little faster.
  2. The quit button on the top right side is evil, because it looks the same as the close menu button, and I ended up clicking it accidentaly when I was almost finished with the run (I cry).

I got to wave 44.

The concept is very, very nice and the core gameplay is good, but imo there are some issues on balancing and performance: I had the most fun during the first few waves, because the islands were still manageble, after sometime tho, having 4 islands collide at once on different part of an already big island felt a bit unfair. Also the game started to lag significantly (even reaching 10-5 fps) in the later stages.

As I said, the concept is very good tho and utilises the theme well, good job and good luck :)

It's very good in term of polish, probably one of the best in term of gameplay, but I think that the restart after you lose all lives brings the experience down. From the start it felt like the perfect cozy fishing game, but after having to restart 10m into it I just didn't want to do it all over again.

Apart from this issue, imo it's still one of the best, good luck :)

Very unique and fun interpretation of the theme. I have some feedback: Since most of the stuff that's going on is on the bottom half of the screen, I'd suggest moving the upgrade buttons at the top (I have barely seen the crabs and the late/early progress of moving the island).

Dude, that's not at all bad, like at all. It's probably one of the richest games in terms of what you can do so far, GG.

As always here's some feedback: The game feels very polished in its UI/interactions (especially the card menu). The gameplay it's good, it becomes quite easy on the later waves but hey, balancing is hard (and frankly not even that much of an issue in a 2 days jam). Lastly, I think that it would have been better if the grid on the ocean wasn't visible during the waves, but only when placing islands (is was a bit hard on the eyes after 15m).

Anyway, it's very impressive. Good job and good luck :)

Hi, here's the feedback:

The gameplay loop is quite simple, not bad by any means and kinda casual/cozy, I have some tips on some of the other stuff:

  • FOR THE VISUALS: a good practice when making pixel art games is to keep the same pixel size for all the sprites (otherwise it looses the "retro" feel and is in general not too pleasant to look at) this could significantly improve game feel, art ratings and polish. So this is a thing to keep in mind (would be better to plan the sprites to have the same size from the beginning, but if that's not possible there are things like the Unity Pixel perfect camera, or custom pixel post processing effects). In this game specifically I felt like the beach/ocean textures were too big compared to the rest.
  • OTHER GAME FEEL/POLISH STUFF: The upgrade menu could be improved, I understood what all of it did, but it was a bit difficult: when dealing with a large amount of text it's imperative to keep the player's attention without overwhelming it (a wall of text is a bit intimidating sometimes), so it would be better to have also a "visual language" for UIs and other similar things, some things that help are for example icons, clever text formatting, text size that matches the importance of what it says ( Title > Subtitle > description ).

Anyways, that's all that I can think of rn, good job and good luck :)

This is a certified fever dream game, may be the game with the best cover of all time

This is very cute, I played it from start to finish a few times. It's quite short so I'll be limited with my feedback:

I think that if there were like 5 levels (shorter than this one big level), the game would have felt more complete (even a longer level with checkpoints would be ok). I say this mostly because the game itself was quite enjoyable (many games overstate their welcome, but I think that this one would have benefited from some extra content).

Anyway, good job and good luck :)

Wow, if I had partecipated in this jam I would have rated this almost perfect.

here's some feedback nontheless: somethimes it's a bit hard to see the player, especially because it has the same color as anything else, I think this wouldn't even be a problem for me if it wasn't for the palm trees (which blend both with the player and enemies).

I know that 2 color is the style that you were looking for, but  think that the background stuff being a lil gray wouldn't hurt.

that's a minor thing tho, huge good job and good luck, I can very well see this one being in the top 3

The streak continues, but at what cost 😔🥀

I want to thank you all for the kind words and feedback 💙💙💙. Good job everyone and keep creating good stuff :)

Thankssss, I will definetly think about expanding it as it's my first game that's actually a bit modular :)

Hi, I liked your game. :)

It's probably the most creative flappy bird inspired game I have ever played, congratulations

Almost, I didn't play some of the download only bc I fear viruses lol. I usually try to play every game bc I want to see what y'all are cooking and hopefully give some useful feedback :)

Thank you for the kind words :]

Cool! It gives a very chill vibe.

I think that if you managed to submit it this would be one of the games if not The game with the best art 💙 you're clearly very talented at that.

 excellent job :)

Hey, I played your game and I have some feedback:

  • The animations are cool. I like how the ball hits the pins.
  • I also like the fact that the music changes dynamically :)

Cute entry, good luck :)

Finished it!

Glad you found both of em and thank you 💙

Hey I'm back, I'm glad that I played the game again because the bosses and the powerps are very fun (This time I died to the second boss). gg :D

Yeah also as you said I think it would probably be nicer to have less waves in between bosses. :)

Thx 💙

Hi, I played ur game and I have some feedback:

  • The visuals are veery cool, I like the toon shader and the pigs look so silly.
  • The only thing that annoyes me is that depth perception is a bit weak, one possible fix would be giving a shadow to the player.

Cute entry :)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the music as it was a big unknown for me since I don't have much experience in composition 💙

The artstyle is so good. Nice entry :)

Solid! Good job! :))

Wow, very fun entry

I'm courious tho, how did you make the track visual? Is it like a 3D object, a fancy shader or something else? I have always wondered how those old games did it :)

Cool game, especially some of the animations! (like the fire one)

Very good game for 2 days, but I think it suffers a bit from its length, after 30 minutes of playing I didn't even unlock the ??? level and after losing all my lives in the western one and having to restart the entire level I just couldn't do it, sorry. The game itself is super well done tho :)

Yo I actually played the game and I must say it's quite good, the artstyle especially, great job! it's a shame that it is download only.

One of my favourites so far :)

490 high score, the controls feel a bit janky at the start, but I got used to them and not I think they're fine. gg and good luck :)

peak.

Nice idea, and also omg I have a skill issue at this game, (my problem, not the controls').
Also I thought that this was funny: I messed up the rgb password and now I'm cooked lol

The game itself is well executed imo (and I acutally don't think that the controls are bad) but after the first upgrade for me it became a little too difficult and I got stuck, (artstyle is peak tho)

Cute little entry! the concept is cool but I found it hard to tell which way the enemies were facing

5207 high score and 22 best lap time!
Feels surprisingly good to play once you get used to it, nice job and good luck

Cute! Ii has lots of good references and jokes (I especially like the end of the level beat it)

I'm just built different 😎

10450 high score, Feels quite polished for your first game in a new engine, good job!

I have some feedback

  • It would be nice if the ship moved continiousely and not in steps, because then it feels weird considering that some of the bullets have a diagonal trajectory.
  • (This is a minor one) The stars moving when you have to choose a powerup makes me think for a second that the game isn't actually paused.

Anyway, GG and good luck :)

VVVVVV jumpscare (also gud game)
