Tried to make it pretty but seems like most people didn't really get what the game was about from it... Even though I have plenty of ratings I had few plays, was in bottom 7 popularity at one point 😅

Looks pretty, exploding stuff feels great. Was a bit confused on how to beat a level as well, thought I just needed to kill the enemies. Also, a fairly minor thing, but movement feels slightly unresponsive to me? Maybe the animation for going from tile to tile is a bit too slow

Pretty cool little game! I managed to get 1900. Would be more fun if there was more bird variety, maybe some could be faster or move in different patterns, since it gets a little repetitive, still fun though

Pretty creative and really fun overall! One thing I was a little confused about at first thought were the flags, I thought that specifically some tiles needed to be left out rather than just a specific amount of any tiles

I think I was a bit confused by the pals row a bit, yeah, didn’t realize what the number in square brackets was for at first. I also thought the “Only HSK 1 word list is used” text was some kind of stat for the lobby? Like some kind of counter that would go up eventually. That’s probably just on me though lol, wasn’t familiar with the term 😅

Oh I see, got it. Maybe if there were more levels, bottles respawned and they were timed it could be something like osu, except with glass bottles, would be a pretty neat game then haha

I got 5, was a bit confused at first and thought I could just match any ones on the screen like a match 3 game, but managed to figure it out. Really cool game! Feels very satisfying

Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for writing all that out, glad you liked it overall. I think it’s more connected to the theme by being a fruit ninja-like game (which has been out for 16 years now apparently?? Didn’t actually know how old it is haha) rather than the retro aspect, but, yeah, I agree, no way an actual retro game could handle so many particles lol. I suppose it’s more of a modern minimalistic game that’s just styled as a retro arcade mostly rather than, like, an actual arcade. Also, 100% agree on the amount of content, didn’t have quite enough time to add everything I wanted to unfortunately, going to release an update after the jam to add some of that in hopefully. No promises on anything too major, a bit too busy right now, but definitely adding a 4th weapon type at the very least. Edit: itch.io seems to be ignoring new lines for me for whatever reason so can’t add paragraphs, sorry for the enormous wall of text 😅

Really cool game! I suck at at puzzle games and didn’t get very far but it feels really polished, love the audio. Feels very cozy

Pretty neat, reminds me of a mobile game I played, don’t remember the name but it also had something to do with switching colors to survive. I like the little particles when you catch a triangle of your color. Would be more fun if there were maybe more types of things you need to catch and/or dodge I think, maybe you could let the player move in all directions but introduce horizontal triangles, maybe even ones that home in on you or something

Really cool idea! Found UI a bit confusing at first but figured it out after a bit and played with Propdev and a couple others for a while, was very fun, had some laughs. Really underrated

I did actually want to lean more into making a roguelike at first with upgrades that appear once you kill x enemies, but quickly realized that I don’t have many stats to balance and I’d need to add way too much new content to make upgrades actually be any interesting. I couldn’t just buff sword speed and make a new power up out of it or something. So yeah, decided to just leave it at the weapon choice at the start lol

Physics feels pretty janky, especially when picking up logs, but other than that it feels really polished overall! Art is pretty, the trees remind me of Terraria

Art and sfx is great, looks absolutely gorgeous! Controls seem a bit weird to me though? Don’t have a controller unfortunately and played with keyboard, couldn’t do heavy attacks because I don’t think I have the end key on mine
