I love the vibes!! Super easy to understand on the level of it being a SHMUP and the controls being super smooth and responsive. the music bangs and absolutely fits the gameplay, nothing feels out of place

(only current issue (and not sure if that's just my system, using firefox on linux atm) is that it lags quite a bit as more spaceships spawn in and it becomes difficult to actually know what's going on. any thoughts on browser settings/things that could be contributing to this?)

Still sooooooo much fun, even despite my initial runs lasting maybe 15 seconds at most at this point! lowkey reminds me of the undertale bullet hells (you can tell I am not very worldly with bullet hells, haha)

(one tiny additional suggestion - I would love to be able to hit a key to attempt another run after defeat! all the controls are currently just keys and it would be really cool to be able to hit q or something and try again rather than reaching for my mouse)

Really smooth and satisfying! only thing that i noted was that some of the text was a little hard to read against the background at the size i played at.

I really liked the little details like the menu being the controls, belly growing larger (looked really smooth), etc

It took me a bit to find the 20 second timer (not super legible against the background) and I'm not entirely sure what the progress bar is indicating (seems to go from red to green while eating and not fill back up / change regardless of how much I eat). Would be really cool to see different variations on endings/outcomes (I had one play through just now where I ate nothing and somehow still died of a heart attack, for example)

Really liked the style overall!!

Hey, thanks so much for commenting, it's very much appreciated!

Could you list some of the bugs that you experienced / the confusion that you had about the order of intended actions?

This was peak!! The enemies were just spooky enough to get me moving but I also didn't feel too out of control for very long :) Seems like a really solid gameplay loop too :)

Ahhh, I just ran the web version again and I see what you mean by resolution, thank you for the heads up 😅

Thank you! The whole thing is basically riding on the visual design, I'm glad it somewhat does its job :)

Thank you for letting me know! The restart should but I'm pretty sure I straight up somehow forgot to code the final quit button 😅

Also, would you mind expanding on what you mean by resolution + UI here? Indication of what to do, etc? It would be appreciated!

That's all good! I also meant that I wasn't actually understanding what the objective of the game was - is it space as well, to attack the bread?

Thank you!!

Can I ask if this is on the web build or the executable? Will try and fix if it's the exe, the web version seems to be stuck as is.

(Also it doesn't come up with the E to pickup prompt after the first key, but you can still hit E when you're in the pulse zone to grab it)

And thank you!! I'm glad you somewhat enjoyed ^_^

I just downloaded again and it's much more manageable! I'm glad I did, there seemed like there would be a lot more gameplay after the point where I got stuck and I was right! I got both endings, great job!

I really liked this! I got up to the part where the Ferryman first chases you and kept hitting a game over screen as he was super close behind me after we spawned in the next room. Sound design and story was neat!

Hey! I really like the music and the little animation that plays in the start menu - unfortunately, that's about as far as I got as the menu button for instructions/controls didn't seem to respond. I managed to press space to start the actual game, but not sure what to do without the instructions being there. Assuming this is a bug or an easy fix so will hold off on rating in case you get an opportunity to fix it! I really hope so, it looks like it'll be fun and not too serious ^_^

Thank you for playing!! I actually did code an additional racer and a lose state where you restart but I couldn't figure out how to make them spawn next to the player at the end there 😅 so they're there but super hard to find. Thank you again!

This was really riveting! I liked the mechanic of losing time whenever you got an answer wrong. Took me a couple of goes to figure out what exactly I had to type once I got to the access parts but wasn't a huge hiccup
