BUGS:
- Bad music loops. They just cut off.
- During the tapu koko scene the music just stops for some time. Then the loop starts again. There might be some empty data at the end of the track. Fixing the loops should solve this as well.
- Too many models on screen cause performance issues. When facing the pokemon thiefs you load 6 models and the game turned a little unresponsive. Just saying you are aware of this problem doesn't solve it, hmpf.
- I experienced a sudden crash for no reason after a relatively long playtime. The log doesn't say anything useful. Might just be an engine issue. Maybe build in an autosave feature every three dialog steps for easy recovery.
WRITING:
- Your personality is leaking too much into Iris' dialog. At least it did at the start. She feels more like your generic faceless protagonists than a pokehoe. However, I did not watch enough of the anime to know how she is characterized there, so maybe this is just my imagination.
- I enjoyed the dialog with Olivia, but the first part is a little awkward if you already met tapu koko before meeting her.
- It really feels like you dive right into the world of pokemon. You got that part exactly right.
GENERAL:
- H-Scenes will be rather difficult to implement with 3d models. Make sure you don't aim too high.
- All in all, I enjoyed what I read.
- I skipped the skippable fights. And won all the others first try. There were no rewards or stakes, so I did not care about them. Not meant as critique or insult.
- I don't care about using AI for backgrounds.
