Oilers, you’re killing me oh my god 😭 

We're trying to get the base game funded first! After that's finished, we'll consider ports and dlcs and all those things later :)

We’ve received a lot of asks about translation, but as the base game is not yet funded, we are not able to consider translation yet— especially not considering the game’s massive word count. We’ll definitely keep Brazilian Portuguese in mind for future games (with a less hefty word count), however, as it’s been a popular request!

Thank you! <3 Due to the set up of the game, that’d be very difficult at this point. But if the Kickstarter doesn’t work out, we plan to relaunch the campaign with a smaller goal either by reconsidering the release format and/or cutting a decent chunk of content. We can’t confirm any exact plans yet— besides, we’ve still got fingers crossed we might be able to meet our goal! 🤞

Hi! The full game, if funded on Kickstarter, will cost either the same as our KS price (approx $25 USD) or sliiightly more.

If our campaign gets funded, we plan to drop the first chapter of everyone’s route in a free extended demo, but the remaining 4 chapters and endings will be in the full paid game. You can read more about this under the ”TIMELINE” on our kickstarter page. 

For now, we have no plans to release any of the physical merch on Kickstarter outside the Kickstarter. If we have leftover stock of the merch then maybe yes, but if you really want to make sure you get the charms, for example, I’d grab them now on Kickstarter as we can’t promise they’ll be available in the future.

I think you’ve got it a bit mixed up. As our main page states, Dante and Circe have the same amount of romance options. Abraxas is exclusive to Circe, while Iridis can only be romanced by Dante. 


As this is oniy a Kickstarter demo and about 1/3 of the length of the final demo we will release, Iridis does not have a lot of screentime yet.

Thank you for playing! Yes, we’ve been made aware that some players are experiencing slow load/save times and freezing. That’s definitely something we’ll work on to make sure the game runs more smoothly in the future. <3

In our case, unfortunately yes… It’d require a new graphic for each achievement, as well as revisiting code we haven’t touched in years, and then we’d have to recruit new people specifically to handle that. But maybe in the distant future, if we ever revisit TCT to revamp other parts of the game, we may consider adding achievements to the list. 

Hello! I'm afraid there's no plans to ever add Steam achievements. We know it's something a lot of players have asked for, so we plan to make them a thing in our games going forward, but we don't have the time/resources currently to add achievements to Trouble Comes Twice anytime soon.

We think we see the problem! The dlcUnlock file should just say dlcUnlock, but right now it’s dlcUnlock(8) - I’m guessing because it’s been downloaded several times? Please remove the (8) and see if that solves it. 

Hiii! Sorry to hear that you’re having problems. Have you made sure to download the latest ver of the base game and that you’re transfering the dlc file into the ’game’ folder and not any sub-folders? If you’ve done this,  the bonus stories of a route *should* be available to you as long as you’ve done the route’s two endings. 


Could you maybe send us a photo of what your game folder looks like and we can check that it looks correct? :)

No, not at all! :) The steam key is optional. People can claim it alongside their itchio purchase, but even if you claim it, you can still download the game here.

In order to play on a mac, you’d have to purchase and download the game here. You can add the game to your library on steam with a steam key, but you won’t be able to play unless you’ve got a pc.

Hi! Sorry for the trouble. Are you using the app or the website? I’d reccomend trying to download from the website if you’ve only tried the app and that doesn’t work. 

Due to technical reasons, we haven't been able to offer a MacOS version on Steam unfortunately. It's on our backburner to figure out how to solve this, but it's not something we're going to be able to tackle anytime soon as we're busy working on our next title. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Nooot sure which ending you unlocked, but there’s two for each route! Afterwards, you can access an epilogue in the extras section.

If you’ve already seen that, then yes I fear that’s the end for them in the main game. We released a DLC not too long ago, however, that contains a few extra short stories for all the different couples! 💕

Noted! For OP and anyone else who may be wondering about it: We’re afraid you’re just going to have to use the save/load button as we aren’t able to go and change the keybindings now. 

We’ll definitely keep this in mind for our next game though and try to make everything better. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi! We don’t really know how that works, we made the game for mac and pc and that’s all we are able to check and fix. If joiplay doesn’t allow you to click the save/load button, there’s nothing we can do about that I’m afraid. 

My game refuses to load any of my previous saves after I downloaded your new version... Any tips on that?

Also, a bug report - in the ending, it stated that Ria stayed on the island, even though I took her along. This could be related to the issue of the Revaire ending forcing itself onto me (which I'd love to doublecheck when I can load my saves again :'D )

Hi! The full game doesn’t automatically download or update when you buy it. Have you made sure to download the correct version?

Depending on whether you have a Mac or a PC, the version you need to download should be named:

No, not at all! The dramatic endings (on average) have more ’drama/emotional’ scenes, but all endings are ultimately happy and I know a lot of people felt that made some of the dramatic endings even more romantic :)

Could you try deleting all the tct game files/folderd you currently have, and then redownloading the new build from itchio? The game folder should be inside the first folder when you open it up.
