This is a very beautiful tileset and I wanted to study, how a system of 8x8 tiles for Pokemon style mountains worked with this. I appreciated that thought was given to 2bpp palettes.

I also compared the actual Pokemon Gold and Silver tilesets to this one.

One thing I noticed is, that the Pokemon tileset was much, much more conservative with its tile usage. This tileset on the other hand uses a large amount of alternative tiles to swap in for variety.

This is not an issue on modern hw. But if you intend to use this for a game on a real gameboy, it might be necessary to reduce the scope of this tileset significantly.

This means it is basically public domain and can be "pirated" by anyone. Since you give up any copyright claims whatsoever. This clashes with your approach of selling your assets. I bought them to support you, but i thought i'd make you aware of this.

Hi, great job on releasing the demo.

I'm gonna convert it with KnightofDragon's tool (https://segaxtreme.net/resources/sega-saturn-patcher.73/) to a format my Phoebe will read:

Supported image types:

  • CDI
  • CCD+IMG+SUB
  • MDS+MDF
  • ISO (games with no audio tracks and homebrew)

> .bin, .cue is still not supported after all this time and .iso won't run with .wav files afaik.

Looking forward to playing the game.

I wish it was on a real PS1. It's great anyways.

Hello, I aquired your tileset and have been using it for a Sega Saturn game (a flight simulator). Would it be possible to have like a looping water animation?

What is your license? Can I use derivatives of certain tiles?

I have been planning to credit all creators of licensed assets and I'm sure I'll use the rest of this great tileset in a future project as well.

This is not a C64 game, but maybe you just miswrote. No big deal. It's a C16 / Plus4 game, which are different computers by Commodore.
