The direction they gave me was "make us something that sounds like Pokemon" so that was my inspiration. Not sure how close I got... but I'll gladly take comparison to Masashi Hamauzu though, no matter how tangential!

What a cool little game! I had a bunch of these little LCD games as a kid and you really captured the magic, right down to the ghosting of the LCD sprites.
