What a lot of people forget about LLMs is that they are tools. Most people see them as solutions, easy answers for complex questions, the perfect result without the effort. I am fairly anti-AI these days for a lot of reasons, but the main reason is abuse of the technology, both by the users and the companies that make them. You have a good mindset in that you're thinking of using AI as a tool, a way to streamline a process that you already know and understand, to make it take less time and give more consistent results. That's the point of AI. To give a simple example, if you have to send out thousands of emails, and each one needs different data points, you can use an AI tool to draft the email and pull the data points to the draft. You know how to write the email and add those points, and you'll still need to proofread the emails to ensure their accuracy, but not having to physically type out thousands of emails saves you incredible amounts of time. That does not mean you tell AI to draft and send thousands of emails and you have nothing but free time now, because the AI will mess up, and machines can not be held accountable. I will note that for the work you do, you will need local AI on your personal computer, as that is the only good way to avoid censorship. So yeah, limited use of AI to reduce resources for exceptionally time consuming tasks seems a good idea for a single developer trying to brute force development of an amazing game.

It took a couple days, but Captain managed to walk me through a solution. I'll add that this seems to be mostly my fault, linux computer, non-standard distro, other things like that, so just be aware that I made a goofy edge case and Captain helped me work it out. Y'all go check out the discord if you need troubleshooting.

I don't know what it is, but Mega just will NOT download the game. First time it got to 40% before it locked up my whole computer. Now I can't get past 4%. I might need to put this onto my steam account somehow....

Someone will write a mod I'm sure. That you have to do this is annoying, but it's a small annoyance verses losing the whole game, which would be devastating. Keep on as you are, we support you.

Very promising! Really enjoyed what is basically a teaser. One nitpick is that it's just a tad to dark, lighting wise. I just couldn't make out a fair amount of detail because there was to much shadow. The ruins are one thing, but I had issues in the final fight scene too.

New mirror worked for me, thanks Cap.

Having the same issue.

would you be willing to update the Dev log as you release new versions? Itch makes a decent notification platform for those of us that can't afford monthly subscriptions.

Don't rush on my account! What you've been doing is honestly fantastic, and if I rush you I might ruin things, and no one wants that. Looking forward to your next release, no matter if it's tomorrow, next month, or in years.

On the one hand, I love that you give us updates. Getting a peek behind the curtain and seeing you talk about everything you do and the occasional glimpse into your thought process is fantastic. On the other hand, every time I see your update and it's not a release, my heart dies a little inside. I want the update!!!! I wants it I wants it I wants it!!!!! Alright, I've had my tantrum. Thank you for your hard work Captain, I can't wait to see the results of it.

EIGHT MONTHS I HAVE WAITED!!!! Welp, time to do a quick replay so I remember all the little details.

Ashamed? It's December, you're not supposed to do anything productive in December. You're already ahead of the game, so relax! You'll get us the goodies later. Happy Holidays Naughty.

Sorry for the necro post, but this felt more right than a new one. Don't know if you've seen Unraveling August, but I think it'd be up your alley. https://augustesoterica.itch.io/unraveling-august

Thanks!

I'm out of hints and still missing two gals? Green hair (not Ai) and white hair. Game is a lot of fun though, looking forward to the next update.

Might take some digging.... but check out pretty much all of top 12 from 1980. Way before my time, but that's probably one of the best finals that has ever happened. Down Side Up was a lot of fun live, though I saw it early and dirty, I had aged out by then. Coats put out great sounds. My first Crown show was Industry, and that one sticks in the memory because of the massive sculpture they built on the field. My best Crown memory is beating the snot out of them my age out year :P

Let me finish up what you've put out so far! I only found this yesterday! Gotta say, more than a little confused with the spooky mind stuff MC is dealing with, but I can tell that I'm fairly early into it and I don't think he knows any more than I do. Still, story is engaging, wonderfully told, and while it's a slow burn, it's a very good burn, like incense on a spring afternoon. Need more Euphoniums though :P

I hadn't made it that far when I made my first comment, but you making fun of Cavies had me giggling as well.. Elaine marched Coats right? You referenced Down Side Up at least. Give me the chance to send my boy to the Devils and I will :D

You had me laughing telling me that Kaylyn marched with Crown, thanks for that!

Thanks for the answer, I appreciate it. Best of luck with school, and I'm really looking forward to your next release.

Hey Katana, your game is great and I need more Avis. I'm not asking for anything specific, and if you can't answer that's fine, but about how often do you try to push out an update? I'm only asking so I'm not checking (and sad) every day. Also, any other faves besides Caribdis and Jestur?
