nice chill gameplay. I like the funky plants.

some recommendations:

  • move the shop + money = seeds from the bottom of the guide to the top.
  • add some more sound effects

what I'd like:

  • the ability to expand your plot and planting locations.
  • possible upgrades for the bucket and other stuff.
  • the plants grow naturally while your awake but sleeping speeds them up.

average score:  3.5/5

Ive never seen the movie so i cant speak on its quality but the book is good. its been years since Ive read it tho.

maybe adding some instructions to the message folder and making it clear that you should go there first.

saw someone saying this is potentially jam winner material. i have to agree. the audio was great, the visuals where great, the gameplay was fun and succeeded in getting my into a flow. i think the start could be a bit better explained but i figured it out quickly after being a bit confused. and while i was feeling a bit critical of the lack of movement controls when I got the mechanics down I understood and came to really enjoy the movement   and it was much more controlled than I expected early on. I'm getting the feeling enders game was an inspiration, if it wasn’t, the story is almost spot on in terms of theming and you might enjoy it.

I have been avoiding downloading games for this jam, be decided to give this a try. (game jam version) I can see what you mean by its unfinished, I havent played the post jam version so you may have changed or fixed some things in it but I plan on giving it a play at some point.

I like the concept, there is only one other game I can think of that uses roombas as a vessel for horror, (Domovoy by Estelias) so its defiantly a unique on. the art style was nice, and the touch of the keyboard was cool.

Mechanics wise, I liked the little radar thing in the corner letting you know where the andorid things would be. tho they dont seem to do anything other than just be a minor annoyance by following you and maybe getting in your way. I get the goal is to escape but I couldn’t figure out how and get lost quite frequently. I think maybe adding a floor layout to the radar that shows where walls and door ways are might help.

overall nice art style nice idea, but by your own admission very unfinished like I said I will come back and play the post-jam version at some point

post jam version average score tbd/5 (will edit when I play it.)

nice idea. would like some audio there where some problems where depending on the angle of the camera the projectiles would fly off to the side instead. I think it would work better as top down or first person. I also respect using only assets made during the jam.

thanks! I'm aware of the progression issues I just never got the chance to balance it. the holding down of space bar was unintended but  I plan on making it deliberate and easier so you don’t have to click first. I also am thinking of making the auto tend upgrade cheaper so the beginning isn’t as much of a slog.

I like the concept high marks for innovation. I think the execution could use some work maybe in 3D mode a shadow below the player to indicate where they will land would help and the music is a quite loud. I like the art style.

ah. another incremental game. I might be biased but i really enjoyed this. the sound was great, i was surprised to liked the level system, I was hoping for more throughout the game than i unlocked endless at the end and im going on the metal planet in the background as I type this out. I also like how some planets have unique traits to them for example the sun not allowing automation and the mushrooms healing their planet, the art style is nice and simplistic. and the job of turning strange planets normal got a chuckle out of me.

all my problems come down to a skill issue on my part, this is the first time ive played a game like this, its realy well polished and the visuals look great.

Average score 4.5/5

I call it Gooby Mc Goobson they are my child.

nice chill game, I will come back to complete the goobapedia I just wish there was more content in terms of ways to decorate the terrarium and maybes some bigger container options too.

Average score 4.5/5

most of my critic of the game was solved when i found the settings I think that the paranormal activity happes just a bit too infrequently and messed with the flow of the game. I like the art style its nice to see a ghost hunting fame that isn’t meant to be spooky.

average score 4/5

rhythm games like this aren’t really my thing so no need to take my feedback to seriously.

I think my biggest problem is with the key layout I would love it if the keys where positioned in a line next to each other on the keyboard as rhythm games with input layouts like this just confuse me as have finger that are not level with each other I prefer when rhythm games that have key presses feel more like playing a keyboard. the popping of the characters on a key press was alright however it was a bit jarring when they kept popping during held notes.

now for what I liked the visuals where great. I like the designs of the little finger creatures. the green cat is my favourite. the effects in the background where a nice addition. the key presses lined up nicely with the music.

I have fixed the crashing issue, it was caused by my armature code instantiating a the scene for the ambrosia every frame instead of just when it was needed. this caused the memory usage to constantly increase by making a bunch of orphaned nodes.

I fixed this by moving the code into the if statement that checks if a new ambrosia mushroom was purchased.

problem solved. : ]

the audio was a bit crunchy, I liked the cassette tapes, and resource management aspects. the atmosphere could use some improvements maybe some ambient noises. the hiding of "hallucinations" in the static was a nice touch and i genuinely though I was seeing things the first time. I get the feeling there might be another ending I could get if I didn’t fill up the tank.

average score 4/5

unfortunately I cant figure out the crashing issue tonight but I will look into it when I get the chance. after the game jam ends I also intend on rebalancing the whole game to make if flow better. Thanks for the feedback!

I was about to call it quits thinking that the other materials just hadn’t been implemented yet still planing on giving the game a decent score but then i found the antenna dish, and I was hooked even more. I haven’t completed the game but this is currently got my highest rating of the game jam.  I genuinely have no feedback other than I really like this.

average score 4.7/5

Edit: I just realised the sound track was custom. that make this so much more impressive for a weeks work not that I could increase my rating for audio past the max

thanks for the feedback. I also felt that the start was a bit slow but I ran out of time to balance it better.

thanks for the feed back. I'll look into that crash and see about adding an indicator to display all the active bonuses from the upgrades in a future version.

You never came back :(

Im a big fan of games like stanly parable so I found this very enjoyable. its been years since ive been gotten by something like alt+F4 so that prank was fun. I only wish that it saved before that so there could be a comment as to how I fell for it.

anyway funniest game in the jam Ive played so far.

average score 3.8/5

really enjoyed myself but incredibly frustrated due to a skill issue because im just bad at it.

only critic is that maybe it could start of slightly slower so you can get used to the speed and allow for a run to go longer (at least for me anyway.)

average score 4.2/5

really liked the idea and how situations would react differently  based on what item you sent out. one issue is that the physics system got a bit buggy and the want of fireball got stuck in the red ball. but other than that i encounters no real issues.

actually I just remembers one. the wand of fireball is not a one size fits all solution. personally I think any problem can be solved with a fireball.

average score 3.8/5

Very cute art style. I liked the use of throwing limbs to distract enemies and solving puzzles. the concept is solid.

my only critics are that there is no cue for how long the enemies are distracted for and that there first obstacle doesn’t have anything to imply you can potentially interact with it in that way (not asking for it to be spelt out but something that hints at what you need to do would be nice.)

average score 3.8/5

its a bit rough but I did enjoy it. I like the idea. other than slight issues with game mechanics my biggest critic is that it felt really short. I like the over all concept and the execution is so close.  I especially like the audio cues from the bunny.

2 main recommendations 1 bug

  • I think the turn speed is a bit slow. I found myself fighting more with the turn speed than anything else and if feels needlessly slow.
  • the movement felt a bit clunky but I like the idea of having it on what I think is a grid. (not sure what the behind the scenes is for that.) maybe controlling movement with the arrow key or equivalent would be better  or if you want to stick with mouse have the player be able to hold down right click while to update the destination while they are moving.
  • bug but I could only catch the bunny if I walked in to it. if I lunge at it, it doesn’t activate the win state.

over all its got potential and is halfway there might keep an eye on this in case you update it after the game jam.

not important but i think some visual interest to the environment would help too. (e.g.  furniture,  clutter, carpets, etc.) and an accessibility feature that could help hard of hearing players is a visual cues for the bunny audio maybe something that lights up on the edge of the screen that indicates the direction of the bunny relative to the player every time the audio que would play or some kind of visual that doesn’t give directional cues but indicates how close you are to the bunny in some hot or cold equivalent way.

average score 3/5

I enjoyed this. I cheesed the first half of level 3 but i think it may have only been marginally easier than if I was to do it the intended way. I like the way the concept fits with the theme. I also love a good pun and the death screen, and the level complete screen made me giggle the first time I saw them

I think that the way the physics work could be tuned up a bit. there seemed to be parts where the sock collider interacted with the ground right after launching it.

average score 4/5

over all really good.
I like the simple game play and for a short game the story got me intrigued .

what I liked

  • The sound design was nice
  • the simplistic art style isn’t something I see often and felt like a nice fit for the game.
  • as said before the story intrigued me

what could maybe use work.

  • the scroll out at the end starts off maybe a bit too slow and took awhile for the first  other (spoiler) to be seen. but the speed after a few where on screen was good.
  • in I think report 3, I think the font used is missing an apostrophe so a stand in character was used.
  • the CRT effect felt a bit too intense.

over all average score 4.2/5 loved it.
