It's not generated but I can see what you mean by it being kinda clunky and it bothers me too lol. I've only written technical research papers in my life so that may have been a factor.  this project was also the first time I've really attempted to write a narrative in a time limit  so when i wrote the dialogues I jumped around from one section to another--adding to the choppiness. "It's just coolant" line comes from the fact tech hears dripping so out of fear theyre trying to rationalize it to being a liquid a machine could produce. the first version of this scene had dripping audio in the background but was removed because I couldn't figure out how to make the audio stop if you left the room immediately xd

I didn't really expect a lot of people to play so I didn't pay much attention to writing, I just wanted to practice coding and this game was just the byproduct. apologies for the choppiness!!!

I will actually put the translation in the game for you if you translate the csv file and send me a copy, you can edit the files in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

My only request is that you write any translations in the next column to the right and have 'ru' on the top row next to 'tr'. Please keep CATHODE's name the same but 'Technician' can be translated to Russian.

Here are the csv files (en text included) :D The odd characters ’ are single quotation marks ' and ° are for special characters like the degrees symbol (you can ignore these and just type them in normally), [i] [/i] and [b] [/b] are for italicized and bolded texts.

Thank you for playing! I will definitely take your feedback to heart. This game was more just a proof of concept & testing a new game engine so definitely bare bones and a lot of stuff missing. I do agree with your critiques and will improve with my next one!

First off, thank you so much for playing and for your feedback!

The (DEBUG) in the title shouldn't affect/break anything. NO CONNECTIONS ROUTE and EXISTENTIAL ROUTE have 2 different ending dialogues, by any chance did you do no connections on your second playthrough after pressing the 'play again' button or opened the game and then did no connections? I've tried the no connection route on after opening the game (Version 1.02) and it does give me the proper ending, but I will triple check through the code ^^.

And I definitely agree about the length. to be blunt i was kind of burnt out by the time I got to writing and that affected the depth of the dialogues. especially the flirtatious route since those were one of the last dialogues I've written. while i try to leave room for interpretation, I dont think it landed as strongly as i hoped xd. I might look into hiring a writer for future updates to WLF and projects to give narratives more depth!

I hope to do additional comics/writing about the two though! Perhaps that will fill the Cathode shaped hole in my heart and others who've played lol.

A really interesting concept and an adorable game! I got a little confused and just went into debt by making random drinks at first but got the hang of it once I messed around a bit.
