I wonder if omegaverse in particular is being spammed? How bizarre.

I played the free demo, and am very eager for more. The writing is wonderful, setting up potential mysteries and character that I can't wait to explore. I like the art for the sprites, you can really get a feel for the different characters. The music as well had a particularly haunting drone that heightened the tension.
One thing I criticise is that the way the game is formatted means that the text is often overlaid over the artwork. This makes sense because the writing style is less dialogue-focussed than other visual novels, but it still means that the lovely art is covered up and it can be a lil muddy to read! If the creator's have ever played/seen the visual novel Lamento, perhaps that sort of layout may be better for future updates: the sprites have their own little boxes with a stylised background, and there is a space in the middle for the text.
But I can't wait to see more :3c
I haven't read 'Ninety-Nine Righteous Men' which this is a spin off from, but I think that's a testament to how well it's written that I didn't need to have the background in order to enjoy this. The character dynamics are lovely, the way they interact and talk (and fuck) are a joy to read. And the artwork is lovely too, I'm so fond of Annemarie's wrinkles.
This book was delightful!! The entire underground city was so fun to read about and all the characters Ree ran into were amazing, it really felt like a (un)living town. Like other comments have said, cozy and fun. And the relationship between Ree and Smythe was so well written, I loved it. I'm so glad I picked it up in my bundle! Will definitely buy more things the author wrote!
