Very very cute game :> Love the depth to the interactions, love the concept and the lil sprout dude we play as is adorable. Great entry y'all, thanks for making something that was such a joy to play

I got wayyyy to into this. When I died I was fuming at how close it was. So definitely very fun. I'm not sure how fall themed it is, although I DID see in the cutscene that he was thinking about fall, so it's really a toss-up. Regardless, I'll be coming back to this one and showing friends haha

Fully finished this one, became the greatest murderer to have ever lived. 10/10.

The art is absolutely stunning, the concept is wonderful and I was really enamored with the comic book cutscene! I couldn't play a full round because every time I picked up bread, it would crash and I couldn't submit the bowl without it being complete, so I didn't get the chance to fully play it, but I saw the vision. Please let me know if that bug gets fixed! I really want to pick it back up, even after the jam.

Gorgeous art, and while I was confused about the gameplay at first I picked it up as I went!! The ONE DUDE that got me was that damn truffle coffee. >:T but very cool game, and again LOVED the art style. :D well done you guys!!

I wasn't expecting to sob today but that was such a beautiful story. You never see the person who died, but I think the empathy you feel for them throughout this game is really something else. This is one of those pieces of art that makes you feel human and grounded again. Thank you to the creators-- job well done. <3

Ok so I'm crying.

Lovely hand drawn style, genuinely did make me quite relaxed. Loved the sound effects, the one that did make me laugh a little was the THWACK from the leaves hitting you haha. Wonderful game, great job to the creators.

What a charming and wonderful game. The cutscene was an actual mini movie, the gameplay is unlike anything I've ever played. Loved it so much. If I had to give any notes, I would have loved some audio in the cutscene- maybe a little "plop" splash for the tear, and some goose honks here and there.

That said, I will definitely be coming back to this game and I will be showing my friends. Great job y'all :)

So unbelievably charming it's not even funny, except it very much is. The scene in the beginning of the game is maybe the best thing I've ever seen.

Very polished feel for a game jam !! The UI looked like a full release! If I had any notes at all, I wish there had been a little "ploop!" or sound when you clear out the trash haha. I would love to see a full release of this game with multiple rooms & the ability to like screenshot / share home designs, please let us know if you update it !! :)

It's giving old retro Zelda / Pokemon in the best ways. Loved the music, loved how much you went into that style. The cutscene totally fit that too! Keep us posted about updates, I'd love to see more :D

Loved the visual blur- I did get a tiny bit of eye strain while playing it, I'm very blind and I think my eyes were convinced my glasses weren't working lmao. But I think that means the effect was convincing, even subconsciously!!

I wish I could pin comments haha. Thank you for playing!! :D

I definitely agree with tbleazy's note about the procedurally generated art waiting til after it passes off screen to despawn, I also would have loved to see more feedback to the player if a successful mail trip was done- maybe a green light on the mailbox or the mail flag changing in some way. I think it would have also been cool to have someone / something come out of the door when the letters are getting delivered. I like the concept though, and good on you for doing procedural generation for a game jam!! That's sick

Totally have the same thoughts as the two comments below. :>

Cute !!! I got to around 76 so like beat that or whatever. >:) I'd love to have a screen at the end to see what the score was, I was trying to keep track while playin :>

I had a similar experience with our level scaling haha! I personally got to Day 9 and was like wow (1) it's a miracle it even feels this playable, but (2) I wish we'd gotten the chance to play test that long before submitting. Only the first 3 days' speeds were tweaked before we had to submit ! I think if we come back to the game, I'd make a "cozy" and "chaos" mode - because part of me really enjoyed the speed, but I think my favorite part of the game is sitting by a simmering apple cider pot and lookin' out the window.

Gameplay was super soothing. Played this after crashing out on overwatch and it made me so tranquil. 10/10 would recommend.

This is also totally because I was learning 3d modeling things as we went haha. A lot of the assets are much bigger than they need to be, sorry about that y'all! If we're able to update the listing, I'll put the download on the page- it runs smoother in the off-browser version.

I really liked the backpack mechanic, and I loved how it looked in the chest in the entryway room. When I entered that area, I couldn't leave and had to reboot the game- I think you're supposed to leave through the right but it may have been bugged for me.

I had the same experience! I would love some guidance on it, I want to try picking it up again. The art and backpack mechanic is really intriguing.

Wonderful art, very very cute and I love the premise of it being a little cafe to help animals hibernate.

First of all, I adore this. Second of all, I accidentally composted the mug and I think it's joever.

Beautiful art, very cozy and autumnal. The skunk / badger is dwayning. 10/10.

Love this game, still mad I got fired.

If you end up working on this game more, I'd love a keyboard bind to sell leaves! I found myself trying to keep up with the boss's endless pace by selling ASAP

I'll have you know I was an absolutely STAND UP EMPLOYEE. I recommend all players of this game unionize immediately.

I got FIRED??????? >:O

I really really liked this one. Developed a lot of core mechanics of a fully-fledged platformer-- I mean there's like a water level and everything. Short, sweet, and a joy to play. :)

That really was some strong wind.... o.o

I love that you can talk back to the NPCs! I can let the NPCs in on my marketing schemes. Also love the carving minigame!! Very cool concept :)

I'm ashamed to admit how many times I got stuck in the maze but it was worth finding lil' old Maple :) I love the pun in the title, and I thought the ending was super clever and alluded to from the start. Great visuals and wonderful story.

Absolutely stunning art style and really cute story. If you ever release a visual novel, please let me know :)

I am so obsessed with the cutscenes. The final cutscene was like 5 seconds and it made me tear up a little so I think that really speaks to how moving the art style is. Well done and congrats to Aubrey !! :>

First game jam, kinda nervous https://tackish.itch.io/ghost-kitchen

This was so fun to make!! Hope y'all enjoy, this is a comment for any errors or things like that if you need help working through it :)
