Candle in the Darkness production was halted - At least for awhile.  It dealt with VERY dark themes (Drug Addiction, sex abuse, etc)  And was originally designed to help people see when they were being abused and how to find help when all seemed lost.  But after the first chapter, it was deemed to take fully "private" till it was done completely in order to gage responses and such with the audience. 

Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen anytime soon.  

There will be, yes...  A few of the characters (a couple not yet introduced, but will be in the next two releases)...  Though it may not be in the way you expect...

If I'm understanding what you're saying:  That's the plan.  We'll be making releases regularly for the VN.  (It's really not much a "Game" as a virtual novel.  Recently added an intro section as well to explain that a bit better, but won't come out till the next "Scene" is complete.  -- We didn't want to do "episode" releases, as it would cause things to be released slower. 

As to not knowing the comic, I get that. The comic is available to read on our website as well (https://taboo.media) So if they wanted to read that, they certainly could.  Part of the way we're doing the scenes is to add the "Backstory" of people so that this can "Stand alone" for new readers.  

On the Discord Server we've asked people if they would rather have the "Full Act" releases or "Scene" releases, and most people are saying they would like it released by scenes because they want to see how the story progresses rather than once a quarter or whatever having a full Act done.  Until that changes, we'll be sticking to the release schedule we have currently.

Not entirely -- The first Scene is fully released.  --  We decided that with this, since it'll be an ongoing type of VN that we'll release it in smaller "Scenes"  in order to keep design and writing motivated.  This way we get at least one release a month rather than trying to do an entire "Act" at once making releases more spread out.  Plus we believe it'll help people stay engaged with the series.  The 1 is simple "First act" and the 0 is  more of the Scene marker. There will probably be v 1.0.1 etc...  As we've already made some changes, and UI improvements.  (Things that were forgotten, etc.)

As this game is still in development, not everything has been fully setup yet.  Since there hasn't been enough revealed in the story line as of yet, it's a bit premature to say what the MC is or isn't. ;)

Hahahahh Great questions!

The bisexual content is in regards to the MC...  In the FULL (Final) Version 1 and going forward, I'm going to have both male and female (Either "Aiden" Or "Lizzy" will be playable.  And yes, you'll have a "choice" (for the most part) of for all the interactions.  Keep in mind, with pre-version 1, it's "work in progress" not all situations are available, and most of it is "Introductory story" at this point to set the stage for the future episodes. While the Bi-sexual content is a choice for you, what happens with other NPC's isn't.  

And no, the MC is Def NOT a cuck... lol..  And will have a spine... That will be very evident shortly in the releases... ;)

Heya - Thanks for the question :  At this point they will be unavoidable until it's in it's final release... (Well the 1.0 where first episode is all polished.)  I hadn't planned initially to have any of the scenes skippable, but I certainly can add that option in there!
