Take your time and deal with the family stuff. Hope everything gets better.
Honestly I think it's a fair change to not let the game get overshadowed by a Steam fest. It definitely wouldn't get the traction that it deserves. I've enjoyed playing the demo and look forward to the release all the same.
Take the time you need and take care of yourself. As much as I've been loving the game I don't think risking your health for it is worth it.
