I figured it out !!!

I'm trying to get past level 2 but I don't understand what the shift thing means
I'm pressing shift on my keyboard but nothing happens. I press up button + shift and nothing happens. I try z and j and nothing happens :(

I figured out how to play it even though it's so simple (im stupid) and it's so awesome I play it nonstop <333 my favorite customers are those tinted gremlins on all fours <33 love this game so so much

it's a great game and it's very cute! but there's no hints and I get stuck all the time
is there any way to get any hints or clues?
