tldr; decent NTR story, but misses completely on the NTS part

i do enjoy a good nts story, there is just something special about a relationship between characters witch such deep trust and such good communication to explore such fetishes.

that being said, this story is the exact opposite, this is purely ntr that somehow trying to twist into nts but fails miserably, which is really sad bcs i like the art style, the non-formal writing and in theory the pacing

but the mc and/or their relationship is just so bad/spineless/soulless, feels like so much wasted potential

Revisited this after a year (0.9.1 => 0.13.1) and have to say i really enjoyed it.

The Character developments and stories are great and for a change there is actually a branching plot, so that some of your decisitons actually have meaningful impact, unlike many other novels where choices mostly affect a few lines of dialog in a minor way.

The overarching story on the other hand is not really that great, in stark contrast to the character stories, this one didn't click for me.

To me it just seemed like strongly Lessons in Love inspired krass episodes whithout any real coherent symbolism and just overly filled with abstract randomness.

These "episodes" just dont really add anything meaningful to the story, characters or the world imo.

But considering that those "episodes" and the overarching story in general are not really such a big part, that doesn't really take away from the overall quality.

As to progress/update/content in the year in between my reads 16 Main Story Events and 34 Character Events got added which amounted to ~6-7h of reading for me personally.

While it is painfully obvious that Lessons in Love and Dissonance are an "inspiration", as in most of the character interactions and stylistic devices are a little too similiar to not feel intentional and rather clumsy. Due to the very strong similarities it mostly feels kind of like an empty and meaningless collection of references to these games, but i that obviously applies only if the reader has also read the other two beforehand.

Near the end of chapter 1 it gets way better and more original. I really hope the originality keeps up in future updates and it doesn't revert back to being a LiL/Dissonance clone.

The pace of the character progressions is a very nice mix, with some being slower and others being more turbulent, which makes a pleasant experience.

I really love the UX tho, it is by far the best out of every VN i've read on here so far. I really wish some other VNs would take "inspiration" from the way your menus navigate and you can crossreference pretty much everything with one click.

I'm really looking forward to where this is going.
