thinking about a stylistic overhaul to my game, going for a more late 90s- early 00s look, which will definitely be more grim.

I understand and get your concern, I only use AI to translate my ideas into code. I'm like very new to C++ and also try to learn it in the meantime so I can be less dependant of AI in the future.

I'm still strongly against using ai to make images or sounds or anything an artist should do,  any art and sound in the game were made by me without the involvement of AI generator.

I'm also with talks with my cousin who does music and stuff to make the soundtrack for this project.

I just wanted to share abit about some of the future goals for this game.

It has been 2 months since I started working on this project and for the most part it has been mainly ground work up to now,

so I thought maybe you would love to hear about things coming up next.

Here are some things that I want to add or change at some point:

1. drifting apart from the minecraft look into something abit different.

I already started to shift out from the minecraft look and added terrain slopes, which are the first stage of breaking the minecraft look into something more original.

also changed the player character to be 2d animated sprite, and the hotbar to be more reminiscent of games like daggerfall and doom.

also working on sloped building blocks that can be a nicer improvment for roofs.

The next thing I want to pull is to make a more interactive tool and armor system similar to Tinker's Construct minecraft mod, in which the tool is made from combining materials and each material has an affect on the over all tool's quality, stuff like durability, efficiency, damage, protection, etc...

I also want to make some sort of leveling and stats system inspired by RPGs, with experience points, levels and putting stat points for aspects of the game such as fighting, mining, etc..

What I've been offering to you up to now is simply a rough concept, but huge things are coming, I promise you that.

Thank you for any support you make to this project, simply seeing the visitors' count makes my day XD

until next time, SuperPotato69420

DAMN.. no need to be that harsh lol

First it's no one's job to help me, I chose to work on this project as a passion. if it will flop or succeed? only time will tell.

What GrimForge is now is basically a rough sketch in progress, there's a reason I still call my drops INDEV.

Now I still try to figure the game's identity, at first I put my focus on making a basic minecraft-like engine and to kick things off from there.

The reason I'm already publishing those rough sketches is also to see what other people  think I should add into the game or report for bugs I don't notice initially.

Just calling this small project of mine a "lost cause" from the get go is straight up mean for no actual reason, I haven't forced you to try or test it, I just put a concept on the table so people can try it and get their impression on  it.

I hope you have a great day and I'm sorry my project hasn't picked your interest.

Regardless, thank you for at least giving it the time of day.
