By toggle do you mean you want the screen to be locked from rotating when tilting the device in general? Itch.io can't do a thing about that, you'd have to go into your device settings and turn off the automatic screen rotation. If you mean making itch.io fullscreen on your tablet without the border at the top so it doesn't rotate that way... I'm actually not sure. I assume you're on browser, I don't think there's a mobile app for itch.io. Maybe check your browser settings to see if there's any settings to make the site mobile friendly, or gesture keybinds to toggle things like fullscreen, something like that?
Hope any of my suggestions helped. I'm not too sure what problem you're having, so I addressed multiple.
Sorry for late reply! And yes, it does not create a save nor will it save to disk and just gives me that error. And by autosave lagging I mean it's usually a page or two behind the one I'm on. I assume the autosave just saves every time a certain amount of time passes, not every time a choice is made or the IF continues to the next page. This isn't actually a problem, as I assume this is how the autosave is intended to work, I just mentioned it so you'd know why I wasn't just using the autosave, as I prefer manual saves is all.
This game is really really awesome so far! I'm impressed at the sheer amount of effort put into just the first part of the IF. The coding, the customization options, the aesthetics, awesome!! I'm at the Miss Stella shop part. Though I noticed when I tried to save it gave me an error, though I figured that wasn't too bad. Until I tried to save to disk and realized that was also giving me an error! The autosave kind of lags behind, and I like my freedom with my save points, so hopefully this can be fixed soon! Unless the error's on my end I suppose?
Here's the error. It appears to be the same one for both the save button and the save to disk button.
Could there maybe be a settings option, both to mute and unmute music, and the option to change the font to something more accessible? I genuinely am having a hard time reading the fancy text, and can't tell what it says. I've just now started the game, and am excited to get into it, but I would appreciate these features. :D (I'm playing in the itch.io desktop app by the way. I noticed there were light and dark versions in the file list, but I haven't a clue which one launched unfortunately lol)
Edit: As I play more, I notice that when I picked an option that added 3 logic to my stat, every time I go into one of the menu options (personality, relationships, etc), then click back to story, it'll bring me back to the text explaining the action I took, but I noticed it continuously adds 3 logic every time I go to one of the menu selections then hit back to story, because it brings me back to that text right after the choice, which is where the variable gets added to my stats. As in I should've only had 3 logic because of the choice I made, but if I keep clicking on a menu selection, then hitting back to story, I can just keep going and have like 12 logic without even progressing the story more, which seems a little unbalanced.
This IF seems cool! The font was hard at first, but I managed to get used to it, though I see from the other comment that a solution is already underway for that. I am excited to see where this IF goes, as it seems very promising! I would like to see an option where the player can type in their own custom name though. Can't wait to see where this IF is headed!
I see there's been a new update! I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, even deleting the entire the-marked folder in itch folder so that it reinstalls it completely, and it doesn't work when I launch it in itch.io desktop app. It *does* work when I launch it in my browser independent of the desktop app, so I think it's the app specifically. Usually files with that download button have a windows or mac icon, and if they're not labeled so they have that, itch.io desktop app may not know how to run it properly, so I think that may be it?
This is so cute so far! I'm at the market scene trying on hats! I don't know if this game is specifically locked to a transfem experience, or if customizable transition directions will come later, I only know the game said transgender, but either way this game is super cute and awesome already!! Your writing is really enticing yet succinct, keep it up!
Not the dev, but plenty of those seem masculine to me, like options 1, 5, 6, and 8. There are others like option 3 which could be unisex, and while the rest are feminine, I'm glad there's so many clothing options of different styles and presentations regardless of gender. I suppose everyone has different views of what clothing is masculine then? Not that that's a bad thing.
I've commented here before, but I wanna point out that I not only love how the trauma is portrayed, but I *love* the fact that you don't have to talk in this IF, and if I remember correctly, there's apparently a device they can get in the magical setting to help with communication!!! As someone who struggles to speak sometimes and has an iPad and AAC app to help me talk, I *really* love this aspect of the story!! Just everything about this IF is so good!
Found out why it doesn't work. On the itch.io app, if a file doesn't have a little symbol next to it, like the windows logo, it means it's not labeled properly, and the itch.io application doesn't know how to run it. Presumably, this is why I was able to play before, on the web version of itch.io, but not the itch.io application. If the pc file doesn't work for you, try the web version of itch.io.
I've played this game before and it was great! Hit hard as a trans guy. However, I just tried to play it again and it said no compatible downloads? Clicking the pc download (the one I need) doesn't work, clicking the mac download doesn't work, clicking the regular install button at the bottom (I use the itch desktop app) doesn't work, and I'm not sure what to do? If I find a fix I'll come back here.
