On keyboard yeah. Yep, I did make it up to the first platform once with a few minutes of trying. It's really really difficult still. Can only get maybe half of the beamtime with the jump button press boost, even with holding the beam down.
Well, I am holding the jump button down for certain. Update: found the problem. I can't hold down the button And shoot down at the same time. I have to take my finger off the jump button and then repress it after firing the gun to get more height. Will see If I can get up there now.
Browser version: Currently in bio labs after beating the boss and am soft locked, jumping and shooting down with the beam just never gives me enough height to reach the next platform. Watched what a walkthrough for that platforming section is doing and I can't figure out what's different. ):
It's still possible, but it was way tighter than it should be. (;
