thank u for playing! :)

yes,  i feel your pain. i made my game too difficult because i didn't have much time to test either lol

super interesting with the different elemental stuff! if you drew any of the enemies and stuff yourself, you did a great job. I like the crow guy in the fire zone lolll

super cool concept. Got some good vibes in there in regards to SFX feedback and animations for the gun that really add to the experience, which is tough to squeeze in for a game jam!

this got me distracted while trying to work lol. even tho its just placing turrets i still wanted to spend all my money and buy more turrets. cool concept, would love to see more complexities added and difficulty balanced

awesome! one small note is if there was a warning that the color was gonna switch, it would make the experience more whole. I couldn't personally manage timing platforming from one color to another. nice job for a short amount of time!

i like the decision to not be able to jump. I think it makes the gameplay loop tighter. I definitely enjoy what is here so far. Level 8 gave me Portal vibes with timing shooting out of a portal and having to shoot another while flying or something.

love the vibe. i bet given a few months this would be cleaned up and feel great especially with some SFX. I had to have the spells on my other screen to remember them, and it took me a sec to realize they had cooldown but thats my b. thank u for the game!

interesting concept! i also beat all the levels. i could see this having some super crazy levels that are really tough to think through, because i had a tough time even with just a couple of these levels lol

the monsters are pretty spooky. definitely good vibe if you want a horror game out of this concept. I could see the light and dark thing being tense and interesting for a full game.

i see the bullets bouncing off the tank and i think i eventually break the armor, but i think we need some more feedback maybe so we can be sure what's going on! :)

yes i am constantly toeing the line of "tell the player exactly what to do" and "tell them absolutely nothing" ☠☠☠ thank u for playing!

awesome! could see what this could evolve into for sure. I tried to cheese some points by just grinding a ball or two in the corner loll. I love the vibe of the the characters and their audio. i laughed out loud at all of them.

great start to something that could be fun and engaging for sure. just gotta have a bunch more fellas rolling through the gates, potentially more color complexity, have some guys walk faster, wearing more clothes, etc. etc... but i'm certain you've already thought of that! lol anyways great ideas here

fun! pretty tight timing on some jumps, I think i restarted one level like 20 times lol. could definitely have kept going if there were more levels :)

great timeless fun with a twist :)

thanks for the compliments! understandable, it is a bit unclear. i hope most players figure it out eventually hahah

thank you much!

thank you for playing! yes, i expected some frustrations with the strange controls. lol

super fun to manage the lanes. i could never remember what colors beat what but i think that's a skill issue. thank you for the experience! :) clean art as well. good vibes with the UI movement.

made it to level 4 so far! great concept. I get portal vibes with having the ability for multiple solutions to a situation.

quite fun! would love to see more levels :)

one of the most fun i have played so far in this jam! I would probably grind this for hours if it had more levels. i replayed a few times to try to get through quicker.

wow, definitely a trip. I'm not sure I was supposed to make much sense of it, but it was cool regardless. would love to see this fleshed out into something more full and where the decisions (seem to) matter like Papers, Please or No, I Am Not Human. The way the text rolls is a bit jarring, but I do like the font and the overall style.

super fun! i would personally have enjoyed if it got complex and faster quicker, but maybe I'm just a try-hard 🤣great execution and is addicting as well

cool concept and well executed. controls and goal was simple and clean! I wish it forced a smidge more accuracy, but I would be curious how this was programmatically done for how it is actually checking where your colors are :)

hi! thank you for the experience. May I ask, was all pixelation/low-res done by a filter on the camera? I also got stuck on some collision on the edge of the map on the hills outside once exited the building at the end and couldn't finish. Let me know if you want video of that.

thank you for playing and the kind words!

interesting.. probably the same bug that’s been around related to audio that’s in the hands of Playdate/Panic. I thought I had tested with the recent version and confirmed it’s gone now though. Are you clicking the crank back into its housing compartment to “stab” the enemy once it pops up?

oh no way! Awesome, I guess Panic fixed some internal Playdate issues surrounding the crashes! Thank you so much

pushed a fix for the "Listen" portion if you end up getting past the other crashes lol

yeah, unfortunately the recent version update from Panic broke this project even harder for some reason. If it’s not actually throwing the “game crashed” screen in the black room, keep tilting the playdate to the right. It’s finicky. I’m pushing up a fix for a couple things relatively soon

lol no worries to be honest I made it pretty vague 😆 wow you’re quick. I’m surprised the game didn’t crash on you, I have an update pushing out a fix soon

I just realized you posted a video too lol THANK YOU! That's actually only about 1/5 of the game. I should've made a little pop up to "use the crank" during the "stab" part when the "enemy" appears

oh hey thank you! Yup definitely just a demo type of thing. Some bugs I need to resolve but waiting on a new Playdate SDK version :--)
