It depends on your perspective.

For me, in this lifetime, he has achieved his goal of making you "love" him. But as you can see, those words of love are printed in red (meaning Y/N fully recognizes he is Kieran and is only trying to deceive him with lies, or he is manipulating Y/N into saying insincere words—the more you interact with him, the greater his ability to manipulate your mind (which can be considered 'mindbreak')).
