If there would be enough demand in terms of support (financial one as well), with more "manpower" as contractors the development of the text game could also be resumed, but currently there's not enough to make that happen.

Can you try these instructions and let me know? Apologies for the inconvenience.
1) Open the Terminal app.
2) Copy and paste this command into Terminal: chmod -R 755
3) Then drag the Malevolent Planet icon into Terminal. When you release the mouse button, the path to Malevolent Planet appears in Terminal
4) Press return.
5) Malevolent Planet will now run properly when you double click the icon
So the public build has these platforms:
- Windows
- MacOS
- WebGL
- Android
The patron build also has the same platforms. Wait, what apk are you referring to? It appears by accident I left a previous apk downloadable, but it's not supposed to be there so I disabled downloading for it. Now only the part 1 will be seen for the android platform.
No worries, your english is great! Thanks for the nice feedback on my game. Yes, the art wasn't done by anyone else.
The issue you mention about the art matching with the main character's hair color, I'm aware of it, but it couldn't be done.
Right now I'm developing the 2D version of this game, because I wanted to give 2D a try and the codebase of the text game was very big. Give it a try if you want https://sugarmint.itch.io/malevolent-planet-unity
No, I frequently ask patrons/people to send me their wishes/desires to see a new release for the text game but I rarely get them so I am trying to continue on with the 2D game's development because it appears to get more reach and the 2 games can cross market each other due to different audiences (text game players, 2d game players) groups that don't conjoin very much.
Different faces would be very difficult indeed. In the text game, we had customization for body type (curvy, slender, etc), skin colors, hair colors, eye colors, and some people found it jarring when scenes wouldn't have their custom character so that was the issue. Probably for a 3d game it's a bit easier... Hair colors and hairstyles aren't that difficult and they're not that jarring, eye color can be a candidate as well but anything beyond is a bit difficult.
Yes, there's no way to download saves on the browser version because they're saved in the local storage in the browser and it's a bit messy. I'd try in the future to make it possible to import/export saves in WebGL.
I'll check it out and see if everyone's happy if I still reach the bad ending, thanks for the report :)
Hey :) The next release has a macOS build https://sugarmint.itch.io/malevolent-planet-2d-risque-search-august-2023-patreon...
Oops, sorry, I didn't have previous requests to make a Mac build😅
I have just installed the mac build tools for Unity. Would you like me to remind you on the next release that there'll be a mac version as well? I'm not sure I can do anything about it now because my local codebase is a bit ahead of what's in this build so things may not work as expected.
If you did pay for this however, I will have to release a mac build regardless right now so let me know :)
That's where the content for this build ends. My apologies for not making that clear. If you'd like to keep up to date with my builds and not have to buy them individually on itch feel free to check out my Patreon :) https://www.patreon.com/sugarmint
Hello. Issues like this are why the text game is on a bit of a hiatus right now. If there was support from patrons to focus on an update for the text game with a bunch of bugfixes and minor content, I could do that, but right now my focus is on progressing with the 2D game's content.
Are you able to consistently reproduce these issues, outside of the stats not being saved? The stats are likely fixed in a build that's right now only for patrons, but not sure about the fights.
The 2D game can't be played locally as a HTML file without launching a local webserver. https://forum.unity.com/threads/how-to-manually-start-a-localhost-version-of-web...
There's an APK in the attachments isn't there? No need for joiplay.
If by existing story you mean the text game, there are already graphics there including scenes and so on but it got too difficult to maintain as a single developer because it's written in JavaScript and a ton of testing is involved to fix some annoying bugs. However, there'll be an update to the text game sooner or later.
