Hi! You might want to know that even though there are instructions for downloading, the download page says: Nothing is available for download yet.

I confirmed that when I duplicate a fresh copy of the index.html file, it doesn't give me the StoryInit error, so that must be something I did even if I can't find it. Whoops! (Edit: I figured it out... I put quotes inside the quotes to denote a nickname, like an absolute casual...)
What's interesting is that while opening the index.html directly doesn't give me the config error, duplicating it (to give it a fresh IFID) and then marking a starting point (can't Publish to File without a starting point) and then opening that file gives me the config error. So it must be one of those two actions that's messing it up, right?
Either way, thanks for replying!
This looks awesome, but when I tried to customize it and Publish to File(I had to set a starting passage for that, but it doesn't seem to matter if I change it) it gives me these errors:
An error has occurred. You may be able to continue, but some parts may not work properly.
Error [tw-user-script-0]: config is not defined.
An error has occurred. You may be able to continue, but some parts may not work properly.
Error [StoryInit]: <<set>>: bad evaluation: missing ] after element list.
now I'm not great at coding, but it doesn't look to me like there's any brackets missing after the element lists? I can't figure these errors out. I'd greatly appreciate some hints.
(huge spoilers in this comment)
I liked playing this a lot!
I don't actually know anything about Vampire: The Masquerade, so I appreciated the glossary a lot. Still, I only had to look at it two or three times. The story flows really well, there's enough context for the terms used.
The one thing I noted that struck me as a mistake is that it's pretty obvious you were not supposed to talk to Shredder first. I saw their design and immediately threw all possible interrogation strategy out of the window because I wanted so badly to talk to them. But then talking to Oorlag after, the characters were talking like they hadn't talked to Shredder yet. For example, Kira asked if Oorlag had any proof for a claim about Shredder that Shredder had confirmed themself not two minutes ago.
Shredder the Ravnos bartender-and-part-time-vigilante my beloved. I would play so much more of a game with them as one of the main characters if it were available. THEY HAVE HEELIES. 'hot milky, your honor.' I could go on for days about how much I loved about Shredder.
The 'twist' was set up very well. I know some people think that if a twist is easy to predict, it's not a good twist, but I disagree. I got enough hints for a strong suspicion on both fronts of the twist, and I enjoyed finding out the whole truth even though I'd seen it coming.
I'm happy with my ending, but I might replay it someday just to see Shredder again.
I'm happy with my ending, meaning: Aurek was in the wrong, not for wiping my memories or for killing Aleksander but for assuming I was still the same person he knew before, and not even asking me about if I wanted to do something like rule the city. I'm very happy I didn't have to rule, but can still serve as advisor to Kira and make sure Shredder doesn't get driven out.
Thanks for sharing!
I'm not sure if this is an issue with my computer or what, but the game is very laggy and slow to process, and I cannot get past the first door? It opens inwards but I am in the way. I cannot open the door while stepping back, not can I open the door from a distance where my character would not be in the way.
