I didn't expect it to be a memory exercise at first, so i sucked at it , but then i made a decent run with 74% haha..
I enjoyed it ! the macho gnome was unexpected and funny !

this was my first ever project, not as polished or fun as yours, but i hope it still provide some sort of challenge
Your game needs a leaderboard!! hehe

nothing impressive, but this was my first ever project
here's my entry : https://itch.io/jam/brainless-game-jam/rate/4776004
As soon as i read the theme, my idea has been to create a game where the player is just a very tiny creature in a home, then i began to remember what games i played when i was a kid on the SNES with a similar theme, and those games were Toy Story and Tom & Jerry.
Submitting the game before the deadline, that's what I enjoyed the most... since it was my first attempt at creating one, and i basically never touched Godot or other game engines before this game jam...
The biggest challenge was debugging things... especially the "boss" that i decided to add to make the game a little more interesting/challenging (or it would have been just go from point A to point B)...
I lost 5 hours of time trying debugging and changing parts of code... and that was for nothing... when i found the solution i felt so stupid and i wanted to cry, because for just 2 CLICKS I just literally lost 5 hours of time... i forgot to set the collision layers and masks of the boss (literally click 2 squares)...
but i guess that's what happens when you're a beginner and you're not used to do something new.
I find it difficult to find the "CLOSE UPGRADES" button.
It's so far from the area where the player is focused (the upgrades). The first time it took me a minute to find it , i had to check all of the screen twice to find it and since it overlaps the UI for converting villagers.
(also the glory meter is overlapping the the UI ).
Also the 2 guys at the bottom (yellow circle) took a very long time to reach the castle and attacking (not sure it they took just the wrong path or they were pushing each other, making them slower).
Another thing i noticed, I can't place the units wherever i want on the map right?
I was trying to spawn the units closer to the enemies but nothing happened... i could place them only along the castle's walls.
Is it supposed to be like that? if so, you could add an indicator that tells the player where's the limit that the units can be spawned

I've added the "Boss" on the level to make it a little bit challenging

I' ve tried to code this and fix some bugs for the last 5 hours...
Just to find out that i forgot to change the Collision Layers and Masks !!!
5 hours lost, for 2 clicks... dang!!
Guess it happens when you don't have much experience hehe!!
Hello,
I've submitted my entry for the Jam !! :)
I never tried making a proper game before ( just a small flash game, 10+ years ago... ), so i put all of the effort i could into creating this, so I presents to you : " TIG - Two Inch Gang " even though for now, there's just a single playable character... and a single level...
Oh, it was so tough... but I'm happy I've been able to make something before the deadline...
Here's the link to the game page : TIG - Two Inch Gang
Hopefully, you'll check it out !!
It's super short, you can complete it in 1-2 minutes...
I'll try to add a "boss" to make it a little more interesting/challenging...
But I'm not sure I'll be able to do it in time... if It will happen, I'll update the post.
Also, if you try my game, please drop yours too, I'm curious to see your projects !! :)
Good luck for the jam !!

Enjoyed the game :)
I might have found a bug though, when you collect the chest drops during the fight, the amount of money that it is shown doesn't add up to the "score". the bricks chest is fine, it adds up to the total.
I noticed it because the total amount of money didn't feel right, then i checked 3 more times, and it kept happening.
I had 3k (3,000) money, got a chest (+136$) and the score kept being 3,030 (i killed 3 mice, since each gives 10$).
when the fight ends it would be nice if it would also show the amount of bricks and money the player got from the chest drops.
example :
70 kills - 700$
chest drops - 327$ - x19 bricks
