Thanks for the review! I definitely think the one thing I want to fix is adding tutorial of some means beyond a picture on the game page 😭. In terms of the ease of controls I did want it to be something a little tricky to get used to but I gotta rework the charts to have a better skill ramp. I mainly got really burnt out cause I worked essentially 10 hours straight on each of the first two days and then did nothing for the rest. Much learned.

The goal doesn’t always have to be “get a lot of people to make games for a game jam”. It could just be host a game jam for silly goofy game developers to find and make silly goofy games. Being in a game jam is kind of like volunteer work, you usually don’t get much in return but people still do it for all their own reasons (though volunteers are on a much higher level than a game developer).
I definitely feel I have some things to improve on with this game if I had more time, I'm more used to programming and musical side of game development rather than the graphical side, and I definitely feel like it showed with the issues in resolution I had for the screen and UI being all funky. If I were to do this again I would have researched more about how to pull of the visuals of the gameboy in unity before the game jam rather than just looking at some gameboy games.
