Plus it's not strange to have an object repeat code until fulfilled for code at the very very least.
To be sure, they have a tutorial at all and its definitely one of the tutorials of all time. I think they should fix it because it is how new players onboard. I didn't know how to change hands for five playthroughs. The tut mentioned handedness in passing, but no information was conveyed. I found the button after starving in the tutorial.
I'm not mad at the dev for the tutorial, because there is one at least, and its thematic. Its just a little shoddy, a simple "do while" for each tut step would fix several frustrations about it; or a message log; or if there is one how to get to it?
The dev deserves direct and clear criticism, the game is hard and unforgiving when played, but controls shouldn't be. After all hasn't the Expie lived their whole life in that body? why would dying in the tutorial because of not understanding their body controls be thematic?
100% the tutorial will be remade for alpha, in orsonik I trust.
Okay, to anyone having an issue like this.
The "Keybinds" button opens a .json file using the default app on Windows, if something besides Notepad opens that's why.
You can change it by going to Settings>Apps>Default_Apps and select "Choose Default apps by file type" scroll down to .json and change it to notepad.
